Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Gelato Punch
For Gelato Punch, Elev8 Seeds crosses Gelato #33 with Purple Punch. The manufacturer introduces both parents specifically: Gelato arose from Sunset Sherbet × Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies and, in its words, is famous for its flavour; it calls Purple Punch a legendary cross of Granddaddy Purple and Tahoe OG, known for a great deal of resin and a grape terpene profile. Elev8 Seeds lists the result as an Indica hybrid without stating a percentage. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod; the manufacturer does not give values for THC and CBD. Alongside three Gelato Punch seeds, the pack includes three bonus seeds of the cross Lemon Tree × OG Kush. If you are looking for the parent names individually, you will find Gelato by Nirvana and Purple Punch by Royal Queen Seeds in our range.

- Growers looking for an Indica-leaning hybrid

Growing Gelato Punch: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Elev8 Seeds gives the flowering time as 8 to 9 weeks; as with any photoperiod strain, it begins with the switch to 12/12. The manufacturer describes the yield as very good without stating a figure. For indoors, around 600 g/m² is given. Elev8 Seeds gives no information on plant height – so plan the room height with some margin and step in early with training if necessary. According to the manufacturer, Purple Punch is known for a great deal of resin; with resinous flowers, good air movement and controlled humidity in late flowering pay off. An activated carbon filter keeps the sweet smell in check. More on this in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Gelato Punch is designated for growing both indoors and outdoors. For open ground, however, Elev8 Seeds states neither a height nor a yield per plant nor a harvest date. The harvest time given is late September to early October; for height and yield per plant we give no figures. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot and, towards the end of flowering, make sure that the flowers dry off quickly after rain. You can find more strains for outdoors under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Gelato Punch
The aroma description from Elev8 Seeds starts with the parents: Gelato is said to taste like a sweet sorbet with fruity notes of blueberry and orange, and its aroma to be just as sweet, with a bouquet of lavender, citrus fruit and berries; Purple Punch is said to be known for its grape profile. For Gelato Punch itself, a sweet aroma with citrus, lavender and berries is given. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab profile. Elev8 Seeds does not comment on the effect either; it is described as predominantly relaxing, accompanied by euphoria. The manufacturer does not give a THC value; no reliable value is available, so we refrain from stating one. Dose cautiously at first – how intense the effect is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
