Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Golosa Early Version
According to Delicious Seeds, Golosa is one of the most successful strains in its own catalogue and one of the three best-selling. With the Early Version, the breeder offers an early variant of this bestseller so that Kush lovers can bring in an Indica even before the usual harvest time. It gives the line as Bay 11 × Golosa × Ruderalis and the proportions as 80% Indica, 10% Sativa and 10% Ruderalis. The data sheet states 26% THC; there is no CBD value. The seeds are feminised, and the strain is listed as a photoperiod plant – so flowering begins after the switch to 12/12. For extracts, Delicious Seeds states a BHO return of 25%; in addition, the breeder lists several awards from the years 2018 to 2020 in the data sheet, including first places in extraction categories – whether they apply to the Early Version or to the original Golosa is not clear from it. You will also find the original strain Golosa with us.
Who Is Golosa Early Version For?
Golosa Early Version is a fast, potent Indica. It suits:
- Growers who would like to harvest after around 45 days of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners who want to be finished as early as the beginning of September
- Kush lovers with a taste for fruity, tart aromas
- Extract enthusiasts for whom a high resin return counts
- Consumers with a high tolerance looking for a heavy, narcotic effect
If you are looking for a mild strain or a stimulating effect, 26% THC and a narcotic character make this less the place for you. You can find more strong strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Golosa Early Version: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Golosa Early Version finishes flowering in around 45 days, according to Delicious Seeds. The plant reaches a medium size and branches only very little; the breeder does not give a height in centimetres. With so few side shoots, it makes sense to place several plants close together rather than training individual specimens for a long time. The manufacturer states a yield of 550 g/m². It rates resistance to mould as high, resistance to pests as very high, and tolerance in watering likewise as high. The aroma is strong, so a carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics on climate and feeding in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, harvest falls in early September and thus before the usual harvest time. Delicious Seeds states up to 1,000 g per plant. The high resistance to fungi and pests suits open-ground growing. The breeder does not give an outdoor height. A sunny spot helps to make full use of the yield potential. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Golosa Early Version
According to Delicious Seeds, the flowers give off an aroma between green tea and thyme, reminiscent of wooded places full of vegetation; the breeder rates the aroma strength as high. It describes the flavour of Golosa as bitter-fruity with hints of grapefruit and green mango and a touch of peppermint, coffee and liquorice, while the data sheet of the Early Version says simply "sweet fruits". The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. It gives the effect in a single word: narcotic. At 26% THC the strain is very potent; anyone with little experience of high-percentage strains should keep the dose low. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
