Genetics & Origin of Gorilla Sherbet F1 Fast Version
According to Sweet Seeds, Gorilla Sherbet F1 Fast Version (strain code SWS98) is the ultra-fast-flowering, photoperiod version of the US strain Sunset Sherbet, which in turn comes from Girl Scout Cookies × Pink Panties. For this, the breeder crosses an elite clone of Sunset Sherbet with its autoflower Gorilla Girl XL Auto (SWS82), a cross of Gorilla Girl and Sweet Gelato Auto. The resulting F1 hybrid is photoperiod-dependent, so it only flowers after the switch to 12/12. Sweet Seeds counts it among the Cookies family and gives 70% Indica, 30% Sativa, 18 to 23% THC and 0.1% CBD. The seeds are feminised. From the same series of fast-flowering F1 hybrids from the breeder, you will also find Gorilla Girl F1 Fast Version in our range.
Who Is Gorilla Sherbet F1 Fast Version For?
Gorilla Sherbet F1 Fast Version combines Sherbet aroma with a very short flowering time. It suits:
- Growers who grow photoperiod plants and still want to harvest early
- Fans of the Cookies family and of sweet, fruity aromas
- Indoor gardeners who value short runs
- Outdoor gardeners for whom the yield per plant is important
- Consumers looking for a relaxing and at the same time stimulating effect
It is less suitable if you are expecting an autoflower: despite the autoflowering parent, it needs the change of light cycle. You can find more Indica-dominant strains under Indica strains.
Growing Gorilla Sherbet F1 Fast Version: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
After the switch to 12/12, Gorilla Sherbet F1 Fast Version needs just 7 weeks of flowering according to Sweet Seeds. The breeder gives the yield as 400 to 550 g/m². The manufacturer does not state a height; so on your first run leave some headroom and watch how strongly the plants stretch after the switch. With such a short flowering time, there is little time left for corrections – stable conditions from the start pay off. A carbon filter helps against the intense aroma. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, Sweet Seeds states 350 to 600 g per plant. The breeder calls the strain ultra-fast-flowering, but it does not give a harvest month or a height for outdoors. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot and support heavy side branches in good time. You can find more strains for outdoors under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Gorilla Sherbet F1 Fast Version
Sweet Seeds describes aroma and flavour as intensely sweet and fruity with citrus tones, along with shades of fresh humus and wood and, in the background, a subtle note of blue cypress. The data sheet lists the keywords fruity, sweet, citrus, humus, cool and woody. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. As the effect it lists relaxing, stimulating, creativity and happiness – in other words, calm and a good mood at the same time. According to the breeder, the THC content is 18 to 23% and the CBD content 0.1%. That makes the strain strong. How intense the effect is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
