Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Gorilla Zkittlez
For Gorilla Zkittlez, Original Sensible Seeds has brought together two much-noticed lines: Gorilla Glue #4, for whose enormous resin production the breeder says it has received a great deal of recognition, and the equally celebrated Zkittlez. The cross is also known by the name Zkittzy Gorilla. The manufacturer states 60% Indica and 40% Sativa as well as 24% THC; it does not give a CBD value. The plants form thick, dense colas coated in sticky resin and grow stocky and bushy outdoors. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only sets in after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. If you are looking for the sweet parent line on its own, you will also find Zkittlez in our range.
Who Is Gorilla Zkittlez For?
Gorilla Zkittlez combines high potency with plenty of resin and a manageable flowering time. It suits:
- Experienced growers who want to train their plants in a Scrog
- Resin lovers who value sticky, dense flowers
- Indoor growers who would like to harvest after around nine weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners looking for a bushy, easily controlled plant
- Consumers who appreciate sweet fruit aromas and a strong effect
The manufacturer describes cultivation as uncomplicated; in the shop, Gorilla Zkittlez is nevertheless rated as a strain for experienced growers and is less suitable for a first grow. You can find more strains with extra seeds under Bonus Seeds.
Growing Gorilla Zkittlez: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to the manufacturer, Gorilla Zkittlez flowers for 60 to 65 days. Original Sensible Seeds recommends Scrog training and states an average yield of about 600 g/m² with it. The breeder does not give a height. The thick, dense colas are heavily covered in resin; so make sure there is good air movement and controlled humidity in the second half of flowering. A carbon filter keeps the smell in check, and a net spreads the shoots evenly under the lamp and supports them at the same time. You will find the basics on Scrog, climate and feeding in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Gorilla Zkittlez grows into a stocky, bushy plant that is easy to control and simple to handle. Harvest falls between late September and early October; Original Sensible Seeds states 700 g per plant. Choose a sunny spot sheltered from the wind and support the heavy side shoots in good time. The breeder does not state a height for outdoor growing. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Gorilla Zkittlez
According to Original Sensible Seeds, Gorilla Zkittlez smells and tastes of sweet, tropical fruit with a hint of chocolate; the breeder speaks of lush, balsamic notes. As the terpenes responsible, it names caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene, though without quantities or a lab analysis. Despite the high potency, the manufacturer describes the effect as balanced: it takes hold of body and mind, relaxes and at the same time stimulates the head. By its account, the Indica power of the resinous flowers balances out the uplifting, happy feelings. At 24% THC, Gorilla Zkittlez is a strong strain for which careful dosing is advisable. How intense the effect is in an individual case depends on dose and individual tolerance.
