Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Gorilla Zkittlez
In Gorilla Zkittlez, Barney's Farm unites two lines from the US West Coast: Gorilla Glue and Zkittlez. With 60% Indica and 40% Sativa, the cross is Indica-dominant. The manufacturer gives the THC content as 24% and rates the CBD content as medium without quantifying it. Visually, the strain stands out for its dense layer of trichomes and glistening pistils. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so they only flower after the light cycle is switched. Barney's Farm classes cultivation as moderately difficult and itself aims the strain at experienced breeders; in the shop it is rated as a strain for professionals because of its very high yields. An Auto Gorilla Zkittlez is also in our range, and with Watermelon Zkittlez Barney's Farm offers a further Zkittlez strain.
Who Is Gorilla Zkittlez For?
Gorilla Zkittlez is a high-yielding, potent hybrid. It suits:
- Experienced growers who bring large harvests safely to maturity
- Outdoor gardeners with plenty of room in a temperate to warm climate
- Indoor growers who plan for 56 to 63 days of flowering
- Lovers of sweet-fruity aromas with citrus freshness
- Consumers with tolerance looking for powerful relaxation
It is less suitable for a first grow or very small areas: the manufacturer states a medium level of difficulty, and the plants need room. You can find more strains of American origin under US Genetics.
Growing Gorilla Zkittlez: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
According to Barney's Farm, the flowering time is 56 to 63 days and the yield 500 to 700 g/m². The manufacturer does not state an indoor height; it does point out, however, that the plant needs sufficient room. So plan for enough spacing and, if necessary, guide the shoots over a net. Yields in the upper range mean a lot of flower mass in a confined space: strong air extraction, air movement within the canopy and supports for heavy branches are part of it. If you check ripeness by the trichomes instead of just counting days, you will hit the harvest window more precisely. Barney's Farm rates cultivation as moderately difficult. The basics on climate and training can be found in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Gorilla Zkittlez grows 140 to 170 cm tall and is ready for harvest in the first to second week of October. Barney's Farm states a yield of 2,000 to 2,500 g per plant – a very high figure that is likely to be achievable only under the best conditions and calls for sturdy supports. According to the manufacturer's information, the strain is best suited to temperate to warm climate zones. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Gorilla Zkittlez
Barney's Farm describes the flavour as fruity, sweet and pleasant, the scent as fruity with sweet, refreshing citrus notes. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. At 24% THC, Gorilla Zkittlez is a strong strain. The breeder sums up the effect as powerful relaxation, combined with contemplative and calming effects: physically releasing and at the same time turned inwards. It speaks of a deep, thought-provoking experience and classes the strain as a potent, relaxing Indica. Barney's Farm gives the CBD content as medium, without a figure. Anyone with little experience of strong strains should feel their way in slowly. At this potency in particular, the rule is: how intense the effect is depends on dose and tolerance.
