Genetics & Origin of HighCloudZ
HighCloudZ is a cross from the house of Green House Seeds. The starting point is the in-house Cloud Walker, whose family tree includes the Colombian Punta Roja. The breeder crossed this with its selection of a Watermelon Zkittlez from Dying Breed. By its own account, the aim was to combine the uplifting, energetic Sativa high with the sweetness, the acidity and the heavy effect of Watermelon Zkittlez. Green House Seeds gives the ratio as 50% Sativa and 50% Indica, and the contents as 25.12% THC, 0.89% CBD and 0.51% CBN. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched. You will find a Watermelon Zkittlez from another breeder in our range in the form of Watermelon Zkittlez by Barney's Farm.
Who Is HighCloudZ For?
HighCloudZ is a vigorous hybrid for people with space. It suits:
- Outdoor gardeners who have room for plants of 160 to 280 cm
- Yield-focused growers with a sunny spot until mid-October
- Fans of very sweet strains with candy, pineapple and grape aromas
- Indoor growers who plan for the strong growth spurt in early flowering
- Consumers with tolerance who are looking for a strong, versatile high
It is less suitable for low grow rooms or small balconies, because the plants still put on a lot of growth in the first weeks of flowering. You can find more strains for open ground under feminised outdoor seeds.
Growing HighCloudZ: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
In the grow room, HighCloudZ flowers for 9 to 10 weeks; Green House Seeds rates the yield as high without putting a figure on it in g/m². The plant forms a long main stem and a few strong side branches that compete with the tip for the lead – according to the breeder, this creates a beautiful canopy of healthy branches. In the first weeks of flowering it continues to grow quickly and vigorously, according to the breeder. So switch to 12/12 in good time and keep the height even by tying down or with a net. The flowers set all along the branches, become very compact and carry large calyxes and plenty of heavy resin; good air movement and a carbon filter against the strong, sweet scent make sense. You can read more about plant training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, Green House Seeds states an average height of 160 to 280 cm, harvest in mid-October and a yield of 1,400 g per plant. Such values require a spot in full sun, plenty of root space and a dry autumn. You should support the heavy side branches early. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of HighCloudZ
Green House Seeds describes the aroma as extremely sweet: the pineapple and grape notes of Cloud Walker mix with the deep candy sweetness and the Zkittlez background of Watermelon Zkittlez. After exhaling, a strong, long-lasting taste of sweets is said to linger in the mouth. According to the breeder, even the flowers give off a strong, sweet scent. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. The effect builds slowly and gradually settles in the head: first an uplifting, energetic high, then a soft, warm body feeling that invites you to lie down. The breeder recommends the strain for sociable gatherings and for any time of day. The figures given are 25.12% THC with 0.89% CBD – a very high THC value. How strongly you feel the effect depends on dose and tolerance.
