Honduras x Panama 5 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Honduras x Panama

For Honduras x Panama, Ace Seeds brought together two Central American lines: what it says are the house's best parent plants from a pure first-generation Honduras Sativa – a purple, high-yielding Colombian phenotype – and Panama Goddess, an elite plant (F10) with which the breeder says it has developed its best Panama hybrids in recent years. The cross is an F1 hybrid and 100% Sativa. According to Ace Seeds, the Panama line contributes robustness and a manageable stretch, while the fresh Honduras genetics together with the heterosis effect boost vitality and production. The breeder states 14 to 18% THC, no CBD and 1.4 to 2% CBG. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. Ace Seeds also uses the Panama line in other crosses, such as Malawi x Panama or Panama x Bangi Haze.

Who Is Honduras x Panama For?

Honduras x Panama is a pure Sativa with a long flowering time and a great deal of vigour. It suits:

• Lovers of old-school Central American Sativas
• Indoor growers with strong lighting, space and 12 to 13 weeks of patience
• SOG and SCROG growers – the breeder recommends both methods
• Outdoor gardeners in tropical, subtropical or warm coastal locations with a mild autumn
• Consumers looking for an energetic, creative effect

The strain is less suitable for regions with a short summer, because outdoors it only ripens in the first half of November. You can find more strains of this type under feminised Sativa strains.

Growing Honduras x Panama: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

Ace Seeds gives the indoor flowering time as 12 to 13 weeks and recommends strong light intensity and sufficient space. The breeder advises sending the plants into flower as early as 15 days after sowing, or working with cuttings that have been rooted for at least 7 days. For flowering, it recommends 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness to avoid re-flowering and excessive stretching. Because of the large main cola, the strain is suitable for SOG; because of the productive side branches and the vigorous response to pruning, it is also suitable for SCROG. According to the manufacturer, feeding is moderate during growth and at medium to high PK levels towards the middle of flowering. There is more on this in the Growpedia.

Outdoor Growing

Outdoors, Ace Seeds recommends the strain above all for tropical and subtropical climate zones. In warm coastal locations with a mild autumn, similar to the Mediterranean region, it is said to deliver very good results up to around the 43rd parallel. Harvest falls in the first half of November. The breeder states a high resistance to botrytis and heat and a medium to high resistance to powdery mildew, spider mites, whitefly and cold. It rates the yield as very high without giving figures. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Honduras x Panama

Ace Seeds describes the bouquet as sweet and lemony, with incense and vanilla notes from the Panama side against a background reminiscent of flammable or fermented gas; the purple Honduras contributes woody tones and the scent of violet petals. According to the manufacturer, a terpene profile has not yet been analysed. The breeder calls the effect a Central American Sativa effect: it starts strong, clean, energetic and euphoric and then develops in a creative, dreamy and psychedelic direction. Towards the end of flowering, the flowers can take on a deep purple hue in cooler temperatures, and individual plants show red or pink pistils. Ace Seeds states 14 to 18% THC, 1.4 to 2% CBG and no CBD; how intense the strain's effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
