Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Ice Scream OG
For Ice Scream OG, Devil's Harvest combined two lines: Ice Cream OG and Shoreline. According to the breeder, Shoreline is regarded as a parent with dominant genetics; in this cross the vigorous, stable Ice Cream OG forms the counterweight. Devil's Harvest gives the genotype as an Indica-dominant hybrid; the manufacturer does not state a ratio in per cent. It does not put a figure on the THC content either, but merely rates it as high; a CBD value is likewise missing. As the result, the breeder describes a strain with a complex terpene profile, firm, dense flowers and a powerful, long-lasting effect. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so they only flower after the switch to 12/12. From the breeder's catalogue you will also find Shore Thing and Strawberry-Line in our range.
Who Is Ice Scream OG For?
Ice Scream OG is a pungent, potent hybrid for the evening. It suits:
- Lovers of creamy, sweet aromas with an earthy note
- Growers who appreciate firm, dense flowers
- Indoor growers with sufficient room height and good air extraction
- Outdoor gardeners in locations with a long, dry autumn
- Consumers looking for strong, body-focused relaxation
The strain is less suitable if you have to grow inconspicuously or want to plan with fixed yield figures: the smell is intense, and the breeder does not state any figures. The feminised seeds category offers a wider choice.
Growing Ice Scream OG: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Devil's Harvest gives the flowering time as 55 to 65 days, i.e. around eight to a good nine weeks after the switch to 12/12. According to the breeder, the plants grow medium-tall to tall; a figure in centimetres is missing, so allow a little headroom and do not switch to flowering too late. The manufacturer describes the yield as high without putting a figure on it in g/m². It expressly points out the strong, intense smell – a generously sized activated carbon filter is therefore part of the basic equipment. The dense flowers benefit from good air movement in the final weeks. You will find the basics on climate and air extraction in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, Devil's Harvest states a harvest in October without narrowing down the timing any further. The breeder describes robust plants with dense flowers and a high yield; it does not give a quantity per plant or a height. A sunny, airy spot helps to keep the flowers dry into autumn – in regions with early autumn rain, a greenhouse offers additional security. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Ice Scream OG
Devil's Harvest describes the flavour of Ice Scream OG as creamy and sweet with earthy and fruity notes. The smell is intense and penetrating, with sweetish-spicy accents. The breeder speaks of a complex terpene profile but does not name any individual terpenes; the manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. It rates the potency as very strong and long-lasting, the effect as euphoric, relaxing and body-focused – the strain is recommended for relaxing in the evening. Devil's Harvest does not give a THC value in per cent, only the rating “high”. So approach the first dose with restraint. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
