Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Inside Joke
Inside Joke is bred by Compound Genetics. The mother is Banana Cream Pop #13, and it was pollinated with Jokerz #31. According to the breeder, Banana Cream Pop goes back to Private Banana and Gastro Pop #5, with Gastro Pop having emerged from Grape Gas and Apples & Bananas. Jokerz in turn is a White Runtz that was pollinated with the in-house Jet Fuel Gelato – a particularly gas-heavy Gelato line, according to the breeder. Compound Genetics lists Inside Joke simply as a hybrid; the breeder does not state Indica and Sativa percentages. During selection, the team noticed the wide range of phenotypes. The manufacturer does not put an exact figure on the THC content, but says it can easily exceed the 30% mark. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. You will find a White Runtz from another breeder in our range in White Runtz by Barney's Farm.
Who Is Inside Joke For?
Inside Joke is a modern hybrid with sweets and fruit notes, a distinct gas note and plenty of scope in its phenotypes. It suits:
- Fans of banana, candy and fuel aromas
- Growers who would like to germinate several seeds and compare phenotypes
- Collectors of current crosses from Compound Genetics
- Growers who plan for 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Consumers with a high tolerance who prefer very potent strains
Inside Joke is less suitable if you expect uniform plants without deviations or need fixed key figures for height and yield. You can find more potent strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Inside Joke: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Compound Genetics states a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks for Inside Joke. According to the breeder, the plants stretch sufficiently after the switch to 12/12 but, with tight internodal spacing, remain densely built and deliver high, robust yields. The manufacturer does not state a figure in g/m² or a final height, nor any specific training recommendations. Because the phenotypes can differ markedly from one another, it is worth labelling and observing the plants individually. The flowers show deep green and purple colours, with most selections turning out rather green. A carbon filter makes sense for the strong gas aroma. You can read more about climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
The breeder lists Inside Joke for growing indoors and outdoors. However, it gives no details on harvest time, height or yield per plant outdoors. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot and judge ripeness by the trichomes rather than by the calendar. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Inside Joke
Compound Genetics assigns the aroma to the "Gas/Sweet" direction: fuel, artificial banana, earth and spice. According to the breeder, the complex sweets and fruit notes come from the mother Banana Cream Pop #13, and the candy-gas profile from Jokerz. Depending on the phenotype, the nose turns out differently: some plants showed the aroma reminiscent of banana sweets, others rather vegetal, spicy and sweet notes; almost all retained a gas component. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It gives no details on the type of effect either, so we do not add any. Only the statement on potency is certain: Inside Joke can easily exceed the 30% THC mark, it says. Start correspondingly low – how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
