Genetics & Origin of Jacky White
According to Paradise Seeds, Jacky White is a new-school strain that the breeder worked on for several years. The aim was a plant that unites the best traits of the best plants – with high yield and fast ripening. The outcome is a hybrid with 75% Sativa and 25% Indica which, according to the manufacturer, became a classic straight after its market launch and is known for its great stability. Paradise Seeds does not give an exact cross in the strain description; the strain is described as a Sativa hybrid that unites the potency of Jack Herer with the resin production of White Widow. Among the Cannabis Cups, the breeder lists the IC 420 Cannabis Cup Amsterdam 2009 in the Sativa category. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. For comparison, we also stock Jack Herer by Sensi Seeds.
Who Is Jacky White For?
Jacky White combines a Sativa effect with a flowering time of 60 days. It suits:
- Sativa lovers who would like to harvest after around two months of flowering
- Indoor growers who steer tall plants by pruning or tying down
- Outdoor gardeners in southern locations with space and sun
- Growers in temperate climates who look for mould resistance
- Creative minds looking for an energetic, focused high
Jacky White is less suitable if you have hardly any headroom or are looking for a body-focused Indica. You can find more strains for the garden under feminised outdoor seeds.
Growing Jacky White: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
For Jacky White, Paradise Seeds states 60 days of flowering and 500 g/m². The strong Sativa genetics make the plant strive upwards, while the side branches fill the space with many long, well-formed buds. If you have only a little floor space, you can, according to the breeder, control growth by pruning or tying down. Indoors the strain is also valued for its stability, which delivers consistently good results. The manufacturer does not give a height in centimetres; nevertheless, allow generously for the stretch after the switch to 12/12. There is more on training techniques in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the breeder describes Jacky White as tough. With a little space and even with only moderate amounts of sun it develops stately plants; it can be grown between 50° northern and southern latitude. In the northern hemisphere harvest falls in mid-October, and the yield is up to 750 g per plant. In temperate climates, according to Paradise Seeds, yields are not necessarily optimal, but the strain is considered mould-resistant and hardy. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Jacky White
As the aroma, Paradise Seeds names grapefruit; the breeder describes the flavour as a citrusy Haze flavour. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. In the fact sheet it sums up the effect as caressingly gentle, head-related and pleasant. Elsewhere it speaks of an overwhelming sensory experience, of streams of energy and inspiration and of heightened inner focus – which is why Paradise Seeds recommends the strain to creative spirits. Anyone who smokes it wears a smile on their face for the rest of the day, the breeder writes. The breeder gives the strength only as three stars for THC and one star for CBD, not in per cent; we therefore deliberately do not add a figure. How intensely you experience the effect depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
