Lemons & Bananas Regular 12 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Lemons & Bananas

Perfect Tree Seeds released Lemons & Bananas as part of its regular Banana Punch line, which was first shown at Spannabis 2024. The mother is a selection of Lemon Curd: the breeder had left seeds of this hybrid with a close friend at the Selva Club in Barcelona, and the selection made from them took third place at the Spannabis Cup. This selection was pollinated with the pollen of the in-house Banana Punch stud male. According to the manufacturer, the strong resin production comes from the father; at the same time, the father mixes banana notes in with the citrus aromas. Perfect Tree lists the strain as an Indica-dominant hybrid without putting figures on the proportions. The seeds are regular and photoperiod, so they produce male and female plants. Another breeder also carries a strain called Banana Punch: you will also find Banana Punch by Barney's Farm in our range.

Who Is Lemons & Bananas For?

Lemons & Bananas combines citrus freshness with sweet dessert notes and strong resin production. It suits:

• Selectors who want to choose a mother plant of their own from regular seeds
• Hobby breeders who would like to carry on working with Banana Punch genetics
• Lovers of citrus, banana and cream aromas
• Growers who value hard, resinous flowers
• Indoor growers who plan for eight weeks of flowering and top in good time

If you have little headroom and do not want to top, you are less well served by this tall-growing strain. You can find more lines for breeding and selection under regular cannabis seeds.

Growing Lemons & Bananas: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

Perfect Tree gives the flowering time as 8 weeks; as a photoperiod strain, Lemons & Bananas only flowers after the switch to 12/12. The breeder's note on growth is important: the strain grows much taller than its Lemon Curd mother and must be topped before it goes into the stretch phase. If you top in good time and train the shoots outwards, you keep the height under control and distribute the light more evenly. The manufacturer rates the yield as medium to high without stating grams per square metre. The flowers become hard and are coated in resin; good air movement helps to keep them dry in the final weeks. As the seeds are regular, you determine the sex in pre-flowering and remove male plants unless you want to breed. You can read more on training and climate in the Growpedia.

Outdoor Growing

According to the breeder, the strain is also suitable for outdoors; however, it states neither a harvest date nor a height or yield per plant. Top early outdoors too and choose a sunny spot sheltered from the wind. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Lemons & Bananas

The name describes the aroma quite precisely: as the terpene profile, Perfect Tree names citrus fruit, banana and cream. According to the breeder, the Banana Punch male mixes banana notes in with the lemon aromas and intensifies them at the same time. The breeder compares the result to a dessert that benefits from a touch of acidity, because too much sweetness quickly becomes overwhelming. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or lab values. The resin production is striking: according to the description, the flowers are hard and coated in resin. Perfect Tree gives no information on the effect or the THC content, so we add nothing here. With regular seeds, individual plants can differ in aroma and potency. How strong the effect is also depends on harvest time, dose and individual tolerance.

Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
