Genetics & Origin of Miss DNA
Miss DNA unites two lines from the DNA Genetics catalogue: Kosher Kush and Strawberry Banana. According to the breeder, Kosher Kush won the High Times Cannabis Cup several times in 2010 and 2011; for Miss DNA itself it does not mention an award. The ratio is 60% Indica to 40% Sativa. According to DNA Genetics, the strain became known in California, where it stood out for its good yields, its aroma and a high return in concentrates. The flowers are light green and densely covered in trichomes. The breeder describes the THC content of well-grown plants as being in the mid-20% range or above, and the CBD content as minimal. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. You will also find both parent strains in our range: Kosher Kush and Strawberry Banana.
Who Is Miss DNA For?
Miss DNA is aimed at growers with experience who are looking for a resin-rich hybrid. It suits:
- Experienced growers who want to grow a potent, Indica-dominant hybrid
- Extract lovers who value a high resin return
- Indoor growers planning for 9 weeks of flowering and 450 to 500 g/m²
- Outdoor gardeners who can harvest until mid-October
- Fans of fruity aromas with an earthy, piney undertone
In our view, Miss DNA is less suitable for a first grow, even though DNA Genetics rates cultivation as easy to moderate. You can find more potent strains under Top THC content.
Growing Miss DNA: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Miss DNA flowers for about 9 weeks. Without training, DNA Genetics states a height of around 70 to 100 cm and a yield of 450 to 500 g/m². The flowers build up heavy layers of crystals, which makes the strain interesting for concentrates; good air movement and controlled humidity protect the resinous flowers in the final weeks. If you want to make better use of the space, you can train the plants – the breeder's height figure applies to untrained plants. DNA Genetics rates cultivation as easy to moderate; we nevertheless classify Miss DNA as a strain for experienced growers. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the breeder, Miss DNA usually becomes bushy and 5 to 6 feet tall, which is around 150 to 180 cm. In the Northern Hemisphere, according to its information, it can be harvested until mid-October. DNA Genetics does not state a yield figure per plant; according to the breeder, it depends on plant size and environment. A sunny spot where the flowers dry off quickly in autumn is the safe choice. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Miss DNA
The aroma of Miss DNA is fruity and citrusy: DNA Genetics names ripe strawberry and creamy banana, with earthy, piney tones beneath. The flavour is sweet and fruity with a spicy, herbal finish. The breeder gives limonene and myrcene as the dominant terpenes. According to DNA Genetics, the effect begins with an uplifting head feeling and then turns into deep physical relaxation. For the THC content, the breeder does not give a fixed figure but speaks of values in the mid-20% range or above for well-grown plants. It describes the CBD content as minimal. Expect a strong strain and dose carefully – the intensity depends on dose and individual tolerance.
