Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Mongolia THC Free
World of Seeds lists Mongolia THC Free as a predominantly Sativa strain with the genetics Mongolia × Mongolia – so both parents belong to the same line. It was bred for a cannabinoid profile in which CBD is clearly to the fore: the manufacturer states 12 to 15% CBD and less than 0.3% THC, hence the name suffix "THC Free". It does not give a percentage for the Sativa share. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod; the plants only flower when the light cycle is switched to 12/12 or the days become shorter in late summer. World of Seeds also describes the strain as robust and resilient in different climate zones. Another strain from the breeder with the same name suffix is Harlequeen THC Free.
Who Is Mongolia THC Free For?
Mongolia THC Free is a CBD strain for everyone who deliberately does without the high. It suits:
- Growers who would like to grow CBD-rich flowers with, according to the manufacturer, under 0.3% THC
- Consumers looking for a relaxing strain without an intoxicating effect
- Indoor gardeners who plan for plants 80 to 120 cm tall
- Outdoor growers with room for 150 to 200 cm and a harvest in mid-October
- Fans of fruity-sweet aromas
If you expect a noticeably intoxicating effect, this is the wrong place for you and you are better off choosing genetics containing THC. You can find more Sativa-leaning strains under Sativa strains.
Growing Mongolia THC Free: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
World of Seeds gives the flowering time in the grow room as 60 to 70 days. The plants grow 80 to 120 cm tall in the process, and according to the manufacturer the yield is up to 550 g/m². For a Sativa-leaning strain that is a manageable height; nevertheless, it is worth allowing for the stretch after the switch to 12/12 and tying down long shoots if necessary. The breeder gives no advice on training or feeding. You will find the basics on light, climate and nutrients in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Mongolia THC Free reaches 150 to 200 cm and is harvested in mid-October. For yield, World of Seeds states around 1,200 g per plant – in one place as "over", in another as "up to". The breeder describes the strain as robust and suitable for different climate zones. Because of the harvest date in October, a sunny spot where the flowers dry off quickly after autumn rain makes sense. More outdoor strains are listed under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Mongolia THC Free
World of Seeds describes the main aromas of Mongolia THC Free as fruity and sweet. On the terpene profile, it says the strain is rich in myrcene, limonene and pinene; no measured values are given for this. The manufacturer calls the effect relaxing and calming – and non-psychoactive, because the THC content is below 0.3% while the CBD content reaches 12 to 15%. So a classic high is not to be expected from this strain. With CBD strains too, cannabinoid values vary from plant to plant and with the growing conditions; the manufacturer's figures are no guarantee for your own harvest. How you experience the effect depends on dose and personal tolerance.
