Genetics & Origin of Permanent Storm
Permanent Storm combines two lines that Elev8 Seeds counts among the most sought-after genetics from the USA: Slurripie, itself a cross of Slurricane and Georgia Pie, and Permanent Marker. The breeder lists the result as an Indica-Sativa hybrid with a balanced effect; it does not state a ratio in per cent. Elev8 Seeds gives the THC content as up to 30%, but no CBD value. It highlights the strong resin production and the dense, colourful flowers with a thick coating of trichomes, which make the strain interesting for extracts. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod – so flowering only sets in when the light cycle is switched to 12/12. If you would like to get to know the Slurricane side of the lineage on its own, you will find Slurricane by Anesia Seeds in our range.
Who Is Permanent Storm For?
Permanent Storm is a strain for aroma and resin. It suits:
- Extract enthusiasts looking for material for rosin and hash
- Growers who want to work with SCROG or LST
- Lovers of creamy, fruity aromas with a diesel note
- Outdoor gardeners with a sunny, airy spot
- Consumers with a high tolerance who know very potent strains
It is less suitable if you depend on fixed yield and height figures, because Elev8 Seeds does not state them. You can find more very potent strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Permanent Storm: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
For indoor growing, Elev8 Seeds states a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks; it begins with the switch to 12/12. The breeder describes the yield as high without giving a figure in g/m², and it does not state a plant height either. It regards the plants as robust and resinous, and they can be trained well – SCROG and LST are expressly named. A net helps to spread the shoots out flat and to light the dense flowers evenly. Because of the intense aroma, a powerful carbon filter is worthwhile. You will find the basics on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Elev8 Seeds, harvest falls in early to mid-October. Here too the breeder speaks of a high yield but states no weight per plant and no height. According to its information, plenty of sun and good air circulation are ideal – so choose an open, bright spot where the dense flowers dry off quickly after rain. You can find more strains for open ground under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Permanent Storm
Elev8 Seeds describes the scent as tropical and fruity with grape and creamy sweetness, with spicy, earthy tones underneath. In the flavour, fruity and creamy notes come together, with a slight hint of diesel and spices on the finish. The breeder speaks of an intense terpene profile but names no individual terpenes and no lab profile. It gives the effect as euphoric, creative and physically relaxing – a balanced high that stimulates and at the same time lets you wind down. With up to 30% THC, Permanent Storm is decidedly potent; so start with very small amounts. How strong the effect is in an individual case depends on dose and personal tolerance.
