What is Pink Paletas? Pink Paletas by Karma Genetics is a feminised, photoperiod hybrid of Sweets × Ozark, created in collaboration with Grounded Genetics. Genetics & Origin of Pink Paletas
Pink Paletas is a joint project: Karma Genetics released the strain together with its friends, the breeders at Grounded Genetics. The mother is a selected Sweets from the house of Karma, a line of Guava Gelato × Sour D Bx2. It was pollinated with an Ozark cut (Oz Kush × Jealousy) selected by Grounded Genetics. Karma Genetics lists the result simply as a hybrid, without putting figures on the Indica and Sativa shares, and speaks of a modern hybrid for today's market. The range is striking: the breeder describes a lovely variation of different genotypes, so individual plants can differ. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod; flowering only sets in when the light cycle is switched to 12/12. Karma Genetics does not state values for THC and CBD.
Who Is Pink Paletas For?
Pink Paletas is a strain for growers who like to select and compare. It suits:
- Selectors looking for their favourite phenotype in a line rich in variation
- Collectors of modern hybrids from breeder collaborations
- Growers who work with cuttings and can flower the first run from a cutting
- Indoor gardeners who plan for 8 to 10 weeks of flowering
- Lovers of sweet, candy-like and creamy aromas
It is less suitable for anyone who expects uniform plants and fixed key figures, because the breeder does not state values for THC, height and yield. You can find more strains for the grow room under feminised indoor strains.
Growing Pink Paletas: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to Karma Genetics, Pink Paletas flowers for 8 to 10 weeks; the breeder rates the yield as medium to high without stating a value in g/m². It does not give a height either. Its note on getting started is important: the plants can react sensitively when they show their sex for the first time. Karma Genetics therefore recommends doing the first flowering run with a cutting taken from the seed plant. In practice this means: let the seedlings grow, take cuttings, root them and only send these into flower. Because the genotypes turn out differently, it is worth labelling every plant and recording growth, ripeness and aroma individually. You will find the basics on cuttings and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Karma Genetics lists Pink Paletas for indoors and outdoors, but for open ground states neither a height nor a harvest date nor a yield per plant. With 8 to 10 weeks of flowering, you need a spot where the autumn stays dry and sunny for long enough; in damper locations a greenhouse is the safer choice. The recommendation to work with cuttings first applies here too. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Pink Paletas
On the aroma, Karma Genetics stays general and speaks of an appealing fusion of different aromas. More precisely, the profile is described as sweet and candy-like, with fruity notes and a creamy finish. Because the line shows different genotypes, the emphasis can change from plant to plant. The breeder does not state a lab terpene profile. Karma Genetics does not give any details on the type of effect or the THC content either; so we deliberately do not add any estimates. If you are trying the strain for the first time, it is best to start with a small amount. How the effect turns out in each case depends on phenotype, harvest time, dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
