Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Primetime
Primetime comes from Exotic Genetix and is a cross of Oreoz and Falcon-9. Oreoz is credited with the creamy, sweet notes, Falcon-9 with the minty and earthy aromas. The result is a balanced hybrid with around 50% Indica and 50% Sativa. The THC content is given as about 25 to 30%; the manufacturer does not state a CBD value. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only sets in after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. The resin production is striking: the flowers are described as extremely sticky, very dense and frosty, often streaked with dark purple tones, and are therefore considered well suited to extraction. From the same breeder, you will also find Project-9 and Fritter Glitter in our range.
Who Is Primetime For?
Primetime is a dessert hybrid with plenty of resin and high potency. It suits:
- Lovers of chocolate and mint aromas
- Growers looking for resin-rich flowers for extracts
- Indoor growers who prefer compact, bushy plants with 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners in warm, sunny locations
- Consumers with a high tolerance looking for a strain for the end of the day
If you are looking for a mild strain or a subtle aroma, Primetime is less suitable – according to the manufacturer, the scent lingers in the room for a long time. You can find more potent strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Primetime: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Primetime flowers for 8 to 9 weeks. The manufacturer speaks of a vigorous plant with a compact, bushy structure and a very high yield; no figure in g/m² is given. The strain is considered robust. With bushy growth, it pays to thin out lower shoots so that light and air can get into the plant. Because the flowers become very dense and resin-rich, good air movement and controlled humidity are important in the final weeks. The aroma is intense and long-lasting, so an activated carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors or in a greenhouse, Primetime prefers a warm, sunny climate, according to the manufacturer. The plants reach a medium to tall height, and harvest falls from late September to early October. Under ideal conditions a very high yield per plant is possible, but no figure in grams is given. A sheltered spot in full sun and supports for heavy branches help bring the dense flowers safely to maturity. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Primetime
Primetime has a creamy, sweet scent with dominant notes of chocolate and mint, underpinned by an earthy and slightly gassy undertone. In the flavour, according to Exotic Genetix, sweet dessert notes, mint and an earthy aftertaste combine; the aroma stays in the room even after smoking. A complex terpene profile is mentioned, but no individual terpenes or lab profile are given. The effect is described as relaxing, euphoric and mood-lifting: initial euphoria and creativity are followed by a pleasant, long-lasting physical relaxation – a strain for the end of the day. With a stated 25 to 30% THC, Primetime is very potent; approach it with small amounts. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
