Genetics & Origin of Pure Runtzy
Two breeding generations meet in Pure Runtzy: T.H. Seeds crossed the modern Runtz Mintz with a Pure Afghani. The breeder describes it as a combination of the new-school Runtz Mintz with the structure and resilience of the old Afghan school. The result is a slightly Sativa-leaning hybrid with 55% Sativa and 45% Indica which, according to the breeder, produces plenty of resin and diverse terpenes. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod; the plants only go into flower after the light cycle is switched. T.H. Seeds does not state a THC or CBD value – with us, Pure Runtzy is rated in the classes above 19% THC and below 1% CBD, which is to be understood only as an approximation. Runtz N' Roses also comes from the same breeder's catalogue.
Who Is Pure Runtzy For?
Pure Runtzy combines a sweet aroma profile with a high yield range. It suits:
- Lovers of fruity-sweet aromas with a gas note
- Indoor growers who want to harvest after 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Yield-focused growers with room for plants 120 to 160 cm tall
- Growers who value resinous flowers
- Consumers looking for a relaxing yet intense effect
Because of the stated height of up to 160 cm, the strain is less suitable for very low grow rooms. You can find more strains of this kind under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Pure Runtzy: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
T.H. Seeds gives the flowering time as 8 to 9 weeks and states a yield of 550 to 650 g/m². The breeder puts the height at 120 to 160 cm without distinguishing between indoors and open ground – so expect a rather tall plant in the tent too. If you keep the vegetative phase short and work with topping or tying down early on, you keep the height under control. According to the breeder, the Afghani side brings structure and resilience; with heavy, resinous flowers, a net as support still does no harm. A carbon filter keeps the smell in check. There is more on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, you can go by the same height figure of 120 to 160 cm. T.H. Seeds does not state a harvest date or a yield per plant. The breeder highlights the resilience of the Afghan parent; a sunny, airy spot nevertheless remains the best prerequisite for the flowers to ripen dry. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Pure Runtzy
T.H. Seeds describes the aroma as a mix of fruit, gas, Skittles, peach and gelato – sweet and fruity, in other words, with a distinct fuel note. The breeder also highlights the aftertaste. It speaks of diverse terpenes but does not name any individual ones; the manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. T.H. Seeds describes the effect as relaxing and pleasant, and at the same time as intense. There is no measured THC value from the breeder; the rating with us in the class above 19% is an approximation. So proceed cautiously at first: how strong the effect of Pure Runtzy is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
