Purp Skurp Seeds – Limited Hybrid by Archive Seedbank
What is Purp Skurp? Purp Skurp by Archive Seedbank is a feminised, photoperiod hybrid of (Sherbet × Moonbow #25) × Face Off OG. The breeder gives the flowering time as 8.5 to 9 weeks, i.e. 60 to 65 days; it does not state proportions of Indica and Sativa, a THC value or yield figures. The focus is on the aroma profile of the mother plant, which the breeder describes as soapy guava, apple sauce, potpourri and grapes. The limited edition for indoors and outdoors is aimed at selectors and collectors searching for a special phenotype – in the US Genetics category. Available in a pack of 6 seeds.

Genetics & Origin of Purp Skurp
Behind Purp Skurp is a story that Archive Seedbank tells openly. The mother comes from an in-house Sherbet × Moonbow #25 line that was never released: many plants from it grew weakly and slowly, which breeder Fletcher attributes to the consequences of inbreeding. One single phenotype was convincing nonetheless – not through size or yield, but through its aroma and the look of its flowers. To turn it into something more vigorous without losing flavour and effect, this plant was pollinated with the house's Face Off OG male. Archive lists the result as a hybrid without stating Indica and Sativa proportions; the breeder does not publish THC or CBD values either. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. Archive also offers a Moonbow line in its own right: Moonbow 112 IX Regular is available as regular seed.
Who Is Purp Skurp For?
Purp Skurp is a limited strain for collectors and selectors in which the aroma takes centre stage. It suits:

- Fans of unusual aromas such as guava, apple sauce and potpourri
- Collectors of limited US genetics from Archive Seedbank
- Growers who plan for a flowering time of around nine weeks

Growing Purp Skurp: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Archive Seedbank gives the flowering time of Purp Skurp as 8.5 to 9 weeks, which corresponds to 60 to 65 days from the switch to 12/12. The breeder gives no details on plant height or on yield in g/m². All that is known is what it says about the mother: it was neither the largest nor the highest-yielding plant, and that is precisely why it was crossed with Face Off OG, to obtain something considerably more vigorous. Archive calls the limited edition a treat for pheno hunters. So plan for selection from the start and secure a cutting from every plant before you send it into flower. You will find the basics on cuttings, climate and feeding in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
The breeder lists Purp Skurp for growing both indoors and outdoors. It does not state a harvest date for open ground, a plant height or a yield per plant; when the strain will be finished in your region cannot be derived from its information. So judge ripeness by the trichomes and choose a sunny, sheltered spot. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Purp Skurp
The aroma is the reason this strain exists at all. For the mother plant, Archive Seedbank describes notes of soapy guava, apple sauce, potpourri and grapes, plus the in-house "Moonbow funk" – together a floral, fruity profile with a note all of its own. The cross with Face Off OG was meant to preserve exactly this flavour. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It is brief about the effect, too: it says only that the flavour and effect of the mother were to be preserved, but does not describe the effect in more detail and gives no THC value. We therefore do not add any estimates. How strongly and in which direction an individual plant acts depends on the phenotype – and, as always, on dose and personal tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
