Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Purple Punch x Lemon Drizzle
Purple Punch x Lemon Drizzle carries its lineage in its name: Barney's Farm crossed Purple Punch with Lemon Drizzle. The result is a slightly Indica-leaning hybrid with 55% Indica and 45% Sativa, which the breeder offers as a feminised, photoperiod strain – so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched. For the THC content there are two manufacturer figures, 26% and 28%; both are very high. Barney's Farm does not state a CBD value. The plants form dense, aromatic flowers, and besides the dessert aroma the breeder highlights above all the yields, indoors and outdoors alike. You will also find both parent lines individually in our range: the Purple Punch by Barney's Farm and the Lemon Drizzle.
Who Is Purple Punch x Lemon Drizzle For?
Purple Punch x Lemon Drizzle combines dessert aroma with very high potency. It suits:
- Lovers of sweet aromas of blueberry, grape and vanilla with a sour citrus note
- Consumers with tolerance who prefer strains very rich in THC
- Indoor growers who want to harvest after 60 to 65 days of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners with room for plants 150 to 180 cm tall
- Sociable get-togethers and creative projects, for which the manufacturer recommends the effect
It is less suitable if you are looking for a mild strain: the manufacturer states at least 26% THC. You can find more high-yielding strains with a manageable flowering time under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Purple Punch x Lemon Drizzle: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
For indoor growing, Barney's Farm states 60 to 65 days of flowering, a height of 100 to 120 cm and a yield of 550 to 650 g/m². The flowering time is counted from the switch to 12/12. The manufacturer gives no particular training recommendations. The dense flowers benefit from good air movement and controlled humidity in the final weeks, and because of the intense smell an activated carbon filter makes sense. Heavily laden side shoots can be supported with a net or stakes. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, the strain grows 150 to 180 cm tall and is ready for harvest in early to mid-October, i.e. in the first to second week of October. Barney's Farm states up to 1,500 g per plant – a peak value that requires plenty of sun, ample root space and a long season. A sunny, sheltered spot and sturdy supports for the heavy branches are therefore important. You can find more strains for open ground under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Purple Punch x Lemon Drizzle
According to Barney's Farm, the flavour is reminiscent of blueberry sweets, sour citrus fruit, vanilla and sweet grapes; the breeder describes the aroma as blueberry pie with earthy, creamy and sweet-and-sour notes. It speaks of an intense terpene profile with dessert character but does not name any individual terpenes – the manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. Barney's Farm sums up the effect as euphoric, uplifting, happy and at the same time relaxing: a high that lifts the mood without being paralysing and lends itself to sociable get-togethers or creative projects. The THC content is given as 26%, and elsewhere as 28%, and is therefore very high. So feel your way in with small amounts; how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
