R-Kiem Seeds was able to obtain many Kush genotypes from Canada and crossed them with M8 Blue, which is preserved in its own cooperative in Spain. The breeder gives the genotype as OG Kush (Canada) × M8 Blue. After a great deal of selection work, an Indica-dominant line emerged with short internodal spacing, high resin production and almost complete resistance to mould; it does not give an exact Indica proportion.
