Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Ramses
Ramses is the Amnesia Haze selection from Pyramid Seeds: the breeder describes it as a cross of Amnesia Haze with a strain from its private reserve, whose name it does not reveal. With 80% Sativa and 20% Indica, the result is clearly Sativa-dominant. Pyramid Seeds describes a tall plant with very fast, vigorous growth and long, crystalline flowers that stretches considerably in the flowering phase. The manufacturer puts the THC content at 23 to 26%. CBD is below 1%. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched. An Amnesia Haze is available in our range, for example, as Amnesia Haze by Nirvana.
Who Is Ramses For?
Ramses is a vigorous Haze Sativa with a long flowering time. It suits:
- Haze fans who appreciate citrus aromas and a cerebral effect
- Growers with tall rooms and the patience for around 80 days of flowering
- Yield-focused indoor gardeners with powerful lighting
- Outdoor gardeners with room for large plants
- Consumers looking for a stimulating, long-lasting effect
Ramses is less suitable if you have little headroom or want to harvest after just eight weeks of flowering – then you are better served by a compact Indica. You can find such alternatives under Indica strains.
Growing Ramses: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
For indoor growing, Pyramid Seeds gives the flowering time as 75 to 85 days, and in the data sheet as 80 days; under LED the manufacturer states 73 days, under sodium vapour lamps 80. The height is 90 to 180 cm. The breeder expressly advises against giving Ramses many days of vegetative growth: the plant grows fast, stretches considerably in flower and can otherwise reach the lamps. So send it into flower early and keep the shoots flat by tying them down or using a net. Pyramid Seeds states more than 500 g/m² under 600 watts as the yield. You will find tips on training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, Pyramid Seeds states 0.5 to 1.5 kg per plant under optimal conditions. The manufacturer gives the harvest for Europe as the first to second week of September. It does not state a height for outdoor growing – given the description as a tall, vigorously growing Sativa, you should plan plenty of space and sturdy supports. A sheltered spot in full sun supports the long flowers through to ripeness. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Ramses
According to Pyramid Seeds, Ramses tastes citrusy with a hint of Haze. For the aroma, the manufacturer also lists earthy, fresh and spicy notes as well as pine. It lists limonene, pinene, caryophyllene and myrcene as the dominant terpenes. The breeder describes the effect as very cerebral and long-lasting, as well as creative and energising – more of a strain for active hours. Pyramid Seeds gives the THC content as 23 to 26%; that is very strong, so dose cautiously. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
