Genetics & Origin of Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version
With Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version, Sweet Seeds has, by its own account, presented its first light-dependent strain with red flowers; in the catalogue it carries the code SWS79. The autoflowering Red Poison Auto (SWS39) was crossed with a photoperiod elite clone of Tangie (California Orange × Hybrid Skunk). Sweet Seeds speaks of an unusual and rare phenotype with red flowers, a wonderful aroma and an intense mandarin flavour. The data sheet states 55% Indica and 45% Sativa, 17 to 20% THC and 0.1% CBD. According to the data sheet, the coloured flowers appear in around 80% of the specimens. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod – despite the autoflowering parent, flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched. You will also find this parent in our range as Auto Red Poison.
Who Is Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version For?
Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version combines striking looks with a short flowering time. It suits:
- Lovers of red-coloured flowers and reddish-tinted resin
- Fans of mandarin and citrus aromas
- Growers who make concentrates – Sweet Seeds calls the strain ideal for extractions
- Indoor gardeners who would like to harvest after 7 to 8 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor growers who want to harvest as early as September
It is less suitable for anyone who is primarily after maximum yields – Sweet Seeds states 400 to 500 g/m² here. Higher-yielding alternatives are listed under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
According to Sweet Seeds, Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version is ready for harvest in just 7 to 8 weeks of flowering; counting starts from the switch to 12/12. The manufacturer states 400 to 500 g/m² and describes very resinous buds. Sweet Seeds does not give a plant height. According to the breeder, the resin takes on reddish and pink tones, which makes the strain particularly attractive for extractions – so harvest carefully and dry gently so that colour and aroma are preserved. A carbon filter makes sense given the strong citrus scent. You will find the basics on climate, harvest and drying in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Sweet Seeds states 350 to 550 g per plant and names mid to late September as the harvest time. This means the strain finishes early, which is an advantage in regions with a damp autumn. The breeder gives no information on height outdoors. A sunny, sheltered spot is the best prerequisite for resin-rich flowers. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version
Sweet Seeds considers the aroma possibly the most delicious of all red-flowering strains: strongly sweet and citrusy of mandarin, with fresh tones of blue cypress. The breeder also describes the flavour as intensely of mandarin. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. For concentrates, it recommends the strain because of the aromatic quality and because of the reddish and pink tones of the resin. Sweet Seeds sums up the effect in three terms: relaxing, stimulating and creativity-enhancing. The THC content is 17 to 20%, the CBD content 0.1%. How strongly you feel the effect depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
