Genetics & Origin of Runtz of Eden
Runtz of Eden combines two well-known strains: Runtz and Forbidden Fruit. Elev8 Seeds describes the result as a hybrid that brings together the traits of both parents – exotic tones of cookies and sweets from the Runtz side, sweet, very ripe fruit notes from Forbidden Fruit. The breeder does not state an exact ratio of Indica to Sativa. It gives the THC content as very high without putting a figure on it; a CBD value is likewise missing. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only sets in after the switch to 12/12. According to the strain description, the purple colour palette is striking, coming to the fore above all in the most colourful phenotypes. If you would like to get to know the Runtz side on its own, you will find Runtz by Barney's Farm in our range.
Who Is Runtz of Eden For?
Runtz of Eden is a strain for aroma lovers who expect yield at the same time. It suits:
- Fans of fruity-sweet strains with a tropical note
- Growers who appreciate frosty, dense flowers with purple colouring
- Indoor growers who can plan for 9 weeks of flowering and medium-sized to tall plants
- Yield-focused growers – the manufacturer states up to 500 to 600 g/m²
- Consumers looking for a euphoric effect for quiet or creative hours
If you only have little headroom, you are better served by a more compact strain, and because of the very high THC content it is less suitable for consumers with a low tolerance. You can find more strong strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Runtz of Eden: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
In the grow room, Runtz of Eden flowers for 9 weeks according to Elev8 Seeds. The plants grow robustly and become medium-sized to tall – so plan for enough distance to the lamp or keep the shoots flat by tying them down. The manufacturer speaks of very good yields of up to 500 to 600 g/m² and a rich production of frosty, dense buds. With such compact flowers, good air movement and controlled humidity in the final weeks make sense. According to the strain description, how strongly the plants turn purple depends on the phenotype. The breeder does not give a height in centimetres. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Runtz of Eden is also intended for open ground. Elev8 Seeds holds out the prospect of high yields under ideal conditions but states neither a yield per plant nor a harvest date or a height. As the plants already become medium-sized to tall indoors, you should plan for sufficient space outside and choose a sunny spot sheltered from the wind. You can find more strains for open ground under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Runtz of Eden
Elev8 Seeds describes a fruity aroma profile: tropical citrus fruit, sour berries and a spicy pineapple aftertaste, which the breeder attributes to the Runtz side. Forbidden Fruit contributes sweet, very ripe fruit notes that combine with the cookie and sweets tones of Runtz. In the flavour, this results in a blend of tropical fruit and sweet candy. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as strong but balanced: euphoric and relaxing, stimulating the mind and calming the body – fitting for quiet moments or creative pursuits. According to the manufacturer, the THC content is very high; a figure is missing. So approach it slowly; the intensity depends on dose and tolerance.
