Genetics & Origin of RuntzMattazz
For RuntzMattazz, T.H. Seeds crosses Zkittlez with Runtz. The breeder calls the result a true “RazzMattazz” of colours and aromas and gives the genetics as balanced: 50% Sativa, 50% Indica. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only sets in when the light cycle is switched to 12/12. T.H. Seeds gives no information on THC and CBD. RuntzMattazz is released as a limited edition: according to the breeder, it is available exclusively in a two-pack, 710 packs in total. If you would like to grow the Runtz side of the cross on its own, you will find Runtz by Barney's Farm in our range; Runtz N' Roses also comes from the house of T.H. Seeds.
Who Is RuntzMattazz For?
RuntzMattazz is a colourful, sweet hybrid in a small edition. It suits:
- Collectors of limited strains from T.H. Seeds
- Fans of sweet-and-sour fruit aromas from Zkittlez and Runtz crosses
- Indoor growers with enough headroom for plants 120 to 149 cm tall
- Growers who would like to harvest after 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Consumers who prefer a sociable effect that is not too heavy
It is less suitable for very low grow rooms: with a stretch factor of 2 to 3, it grows tall and wide according to the breeder. You can find more compact alternatives under Indica strains.
Growing RuntzMattazz: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
T.H. Seeds gives the flowering time as 8 to 9 weeks and the yield as 500 to 550 g/m². The breeder puts the height at 120 to 149 cm, without distinguishing between tent and open ground. The stretch factor of 2 to 3 is important for planning: after the switch to 12/12, the plant can double to triple its height and, according to T.H. Seeds, grows tall and wide in the process. So do not send it into flower too large. With topping, tying down or a net, the canopy can be kept flat. A carbon filter makes sense given the intense fruit aroma. You can read more about training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For growing outdoors, T.H. Seeds states neither a harvest date nor a yield per plant. Because of the strong stretch, RuntzMattazz needs room upwards and sideways outside. A sunny spot sheltered from the wind and supports for the side shoots help to bring the plants safely to maturity. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of RuntzMattazz
When it comes to flavour, T.H. Seeds speaks of a “candy potpourri”: a whole sweet shop in a single strain, enormously fruity, with a mix of sour and sweet notes. The breeder emphasises the abundance of terpenes but does not name any individual ones; the manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. The strong colours are also striking. According to T.H. Seeds, the effect is not too intense – pleasant, invigorating, uplifting and sociable, so more something for get-togethers with friends than for a quiet evening alone. The breeder does not give a THC value. How strongly you feel the effect depends on dose and personal tolerance.
