Genetics & Origin of S.A.D. - Fast Version
S.A.D. Fast Version is the accelerated edition of Sweet Afghani Delicious from Sweet Seeds. For it, the breeder crossed a Black Domina elite clone with a line of S.A.D. Auto. The outcome was an F1 hybrid that expressly does not flower automatically: the strain remains photoperiod and only goes into flower after the switch to 12/12, but then needs less time than usual. Sweet Seeds gives the ratio as 90% Indica and 10% Sativa. The old Afghan character is said to be fully retained – dense growth, compact, heavy buds and plenty of resin. The manufacturer does not state a THC or CBD value. This item contains feminised seeds. Black Domina is represented in our range as a regular strain: Black Domina Regular by Sensi Seeds.
Who Is S.A.D. - Fast Version For?
S.A.D. Fast Version is designed for speed and old-school aroma. It suits:
- Indoor growers who plan quick runs with 6 to 7 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners in regions with a short season
- Lovers of classic, sweet and musky Afghani aromas
- Growers who prefer compact-growing plants with heavy, resinous buds
- Consumers looking for a deeply relaxing Indica effect in the evening
If you want a clear, stimulating effect during the day, a Sativa is the better choice; what is more, the manufacturer gives no information on THC content and plant height. You can find more fast strains under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing S.A.D. - Fast Version: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Sweet Seeds states a flowering time of 6 to 7 weeks and 400 to 500 g/m². The plants grow dense and compact, which, according to the manufacturer, makes the strain ideal for quick indoor runs; it does not give a height in centimetres. The breeder does not recommend any particular training methods. Compact, heavy and resinous buds need good air movement towards the end of flowering, and the intense, sweet and musky smell argues for a carbon filter. The short flowering time leaves little time to make up for mistakes – stable conditions from the start of flowering pay off. You will find the basics on climate and ventilation in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Sweet Seeds, S.A.D. Fast Version is ready for harvest as early as the beginning of September, making it an option for short outdoor seasons. The manufacturer states 350 to 550 g per plant. It does not give a plant height for outdoors. A sunny, sheltered spot and supports for heavy side branches help to bring in the harvest safely. If you are planning larger quantities, you will also find the strain under Bulk Seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of S.A.D. - Fast Version
According to Sweet Seeds, the scent is sweet, musky and spicy – typically Afghani. The breeder describes the flavour as full-bodied and earthy-sweet with a long finish. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It clearly assigns the effect to the Indica side: deeply relaxing, calming and body-focused. Sweet Seeds therefore recommends the strain for the evening hours. The manufacturer does not give a THC value, so the strength cannot be put into figures. Proceed with corresponding care on your first attempts: how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
