Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Sage'n Sour
In Sage'n Sour, two lines each with a reputation of its own meet: S.A.G.E., the West Coast strain with a spicy Haze bouquet, which T.H. Seeds by its own account has listed as its number one for 15 years, and Sour Diesel from the East Coast. The breeder describes the result as a Sativa-dominant, terpene-rich hybrid with Haze and Diesel influences; it does not state a Sativa share in per cent. T.H. Seeds also gives no figures for THC and CBD; there is merely talk of a powerful high. This item contains regular seeds. The seeds therefore grow into male and female plants, which makes the strain interesting for selection and breeding projects of your own. Sage'n Sour is photoperiod. You will also find the parent S.A.G.E. and the feminised Sage'n Sour by T.H. Seeds in our range.
Who Is Sage'n Sour For?
Sage'n Sour is a vigorous Sativa hybrid for growers with experience. It suits:
- Experienced growers who can keep massive growth under control
- Hydro and DWC gardeners, for whom the breeder particularly recommends the strain
- Selectors who choose a mother plant from regular seeds
- Fans of Sour and Haze aromas with citrus and herbal notes
- Consumers who appreciate a clear, stimulating high during the day
It is less suitable for a first grow or very low rooms, and if you want only female plants, go for the feminised variant. You can find more regular lines under regular seeds.
Growing Sage'n Sour: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Flowering time is around 9 to 10 weeks; in the data sheet T.H. Seeds states 9 weeks. The breeder gives the height as 120 to 140 cm, without distinguishing between indoors and outdoors, and speaks of massive growth. According to the manufacturer, Sage'n Sour grows particularly lushly in hydroponic systems; it expressly highlights it as a plant for Deep Water Culture. T.H. Seeds rates the yield as high and puts it in the data sheet at 350 g and more per square metre. Plan for enough room height and get the shoots into shape early. As the seeds are regular, you determine the sex in pre-flowering and remove male plants if no pollination is wanted. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, T.H. Seeds makes only one statement: Sage'n Sour thrives in warm, sunny climate zones. The breeder does not state a harvest date or a yield per plant. In cooler locations a greenhouse is therefore the safer choice, and you should allow plenty of space for the vigorous growth. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Sage'n Sour
Sage'n Sour is a strain for terpene lovers. According to T.H. Seeds, the scent combines diesel with lemon zest and Haze herbs, plus a hint of incense; the flowers themselves are resinous and compact. For the flavour, the breeder names spicy, lemony and tart notes with a gentle smoky tone, and elsewhere also herbs and sage. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as clear, energetic and creative, but with a pleasantly relaxed base – a daytime strain that lifts focus and mood. T.H. Seeds rates the high as powerful; the breeder does not state a THC value. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, dose and personal tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
