Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Say Less
Say Less comes from Exotic Genetix and is a cross of Milk & Cookies and Red Runtz. The strain description presents both parents as lines with strong aromas and an intense effect: Milk & Cookies brings the sweet, creamy flavour, Red Runtz the fruity, citrusy freshness. The hybrid is Indica-dominant with a smaller Sativa share; the manufacturer does not give a ratio in per cent, nor a THC or CBD value. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. In our range you will find another strain by Exotic Genetix in Fritter Glitter; a Runtz as a strain in its own right is, for example, Runtz by Barney's Farm.
Who Is Say Less For?
Say Less combines compact indoor growth with dessert aromas. It suits:
- Lovers of creamy-sweet cookie aromas with a fruity note
- Indoor growers who can easily accommodate plants of 80 to 110 cm
- Growers who want to harvest after 55 to 65 days of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners with space for plants 1.5 to 2 m tall
- Consumers looking for relaxation without being completely dazed
It is less suitable if you set store by substantiated potency figures – the manufacturer does not state a THC value. You can find more high-yielding strains with a manageable flowering time under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Say Less: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Say Less flowers for 55 to 65 days, which the strain description calls relatively fast. The plants grow 80 to 110 cm tall and therefore fit well into common grow rooms. The yield is given as 450 to 600 g/m² under optimal conditions. The manufacturer gives no specific training recommendations; with medium-sized, Indica-dominant plants, experience shows that topping or a net are good options for distributing the light evenly. Because of the strong, sweet scent, a carbon filter makes sense, and good air movement protects the flowers in the final weeks. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Say Less grows considerably taller and reaches 1.5 to 2 m. According to the strain description, harvest falls in late September to early October, and with good weather and good care the yield is 500 g to 1 kg per plant. For such values, the plants need a spot in full sun sheltered from the wind, plenty of root space and supports for the side branches in good time. In regions with a damp early autumn, rain protection in the final weeks is worthwhile. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Say Less
According to the strain description, the scent of Say Less is a blend of sweet, creamy cookie aromas and the fresh sweetness of red fruit. In the flavour, the creamy sweetness of Milk & Cookies meets the fruitiness of Red Runtz – the result is described as intense, almost dessert-like, sweet and a little tropical. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. The effect is accordingly calming and euphoric at the same time: it relaxes deeply, lifts the mood and makes you creative and cheerful without leaving you completely dazed. The description therefore sees the strain as suitable for the day as well as the evening. There is no THC value; the only mention is of a powerful strain. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
