Shining Silver Haze Seeds – Fast Haze with 21% THC
What is Shining Silver Haze? Shining Silver Haze by Royal Queen Seeds is a feminised, photoperiod and Sativa-dominant hybrid of Haze × Skunk × Northern Lights, a further development of Super Silver Haze. It flowers for 9 to 10 weeks, stays at 80 to 120 cm indoors and, according to the manufacturer, yields 600 to 650 g/m² with around 21% THC. A sweet, slightly fruity Haze aroma and a clear, cerebral high are typical. The strain suits Sativa lovers who do not want to wait out an overly long flowering time – in the Sativa strains category. Available in packs of 3, 5, 10, 25 and 100 seeds.

Genetics & Origin of Shining Silver Haze
Haze genetics emerged in the 1970s from crosses of Colombian, Mexican, Thai and South Indian landraces and were later refined further in Holland. The aim was to combine the euphoric effect and the sweet aroma with the shorter flowering time of Indicas – this is how Super Silver Haze came about. On this basis, Royal Queen Seeds developed Shining Silver Haze, a Sativa-dominant hybrid of Haze, Skunk and Northern Lights. The breeder names the shortened flowering time and the massive resin production as special features. The THC content is around 21%; the manufacturer rates the CBD content as medium, without stating a figure. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. For comparison, you will find Super Silver Haze by Green House Seeds in our range, as well as the regular Shining Silver Haze.
Who Is Shining Silver Haze For?
Shining Silver Haze is aimed at Haze fans with limited patience. It suits:
- Sativa lovers who plan for 9 to 10 weeks of flowering
- Indoor growers looking for a Haze with a height of 80 to 120 cm
- Growers for whom a high yield is important
- Outdoor gardeners in a Mediterranean to subtropical climate or with a greenhouse
- Consumers who prefer a clear, creative head high
It is less suitable for open ground in regions with a short, damp autumn, because harvest does not fall until mid to late October. You can find more potent strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Shining Silver Haze: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
With 9 to 10 weeks of flowering, Shining Silver Haze is one of the fastest Haze strains on the market, according to Royal Queen Seeds. Indoors it stays relatively compact at 80 to 120 cm, and the manufacturer states 600 to 650 g/m². According to the breeder, the shorter-than-average flowering time makes it ideal for controlled indoor conditions. Sativa-dominant plants usually still stretch considerably after the switch to 12/12; early training and a net help to keep the canopy flat. Because of the strong resin formation and the aromatic scent, a carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Shining Silver Haze grows 180 to 220 cm tall. In the northern hemisphere, harvest falls in mid to late October, and the manufacturer states 600 to 650 g per plant. Royal Queen Seeds gives the climate zone as Mediterranean to subtropical and recommends a greenhouse or sunny regions such as southern Europe and North Africa. In cooler locations, a sheltered spot under glass is therefore the safer choice. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Shining Silver Haze
Royal Queen Seeds describes the scent as fresh and sweet with typical Haze character. The flavour is sweetish and slightly fruity, with a spicy Haze finish; the breeder speaks of one of the sweetest Haze profiles and a very aromatic smoke. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. According to the description, the effect is typically Haze: an intense head high that sets in immediately, clear and cerebral, as well as euphoric, creative and energetic – and long-lasting. In our view, this makes the strain more suited to active hours than to the late evening. At around 21% THC it is potent; if you consume rarely, it is better to start with a small amount. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
