Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Space
According to World of Seeds, Space started with a special Afghanica selection whose seeds came from an expedition. This robust line was first crossed with a Black Domina male, which according to the manufacturer contributed dense buds, a compact structure and earthy aromas. It was then backcrossed with an AK-47 male, which gives the strain its cerebral Sativa touch and its fast flowering. The genetics are therefore Afghan × Black Domina × AK-47; the breeder gives the ratio as 75% Indica to 25% Sativa and the THC content as 20%. No CBD value is given. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. Related by name is Afghan Kush x Black Domina from the same house; you will also find AK-47 by Serious Seeds in our range.
Who Is Space For?
Space combines an old-school aroma with a short flowering time. It suits:
- Lovers of Afghan hash aroma with woody notes
- Indoor growers who would like to harvest after around 8 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners who want to be finished in mid-September
- Growers in damper locations, as the manufacturer cites good resistance to mould and pests
- Consumers who prefer a mentally stimulating rather than a sleep-inducing effect
If you are expecting a calm, body-focused evening strain, you are mistaken despite the Indica share – the manufacturer describes the effect as cerebral. You can find more strains for outdoors under outdoor seeds.
Growing Space: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, World of Seeds gives the flowering time as about 8 weeks and states a yield of 450 to 600 g/m². The manufacturer highlights the fast flowering and considers the strain well suited to controlled spaces. According to the manufacturer, it brings dense buds and a compact structure from the Black Domina line; it does not give a growth height in centimetres. With dense flowers and a strong hash smell, good air circulation and an activated carbon filter make sense. Topping or a net helps to distribute the light evenly. You will find useful information on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Space is ready for harvest in mid-September and yields 450 to 600 g per plant. World of Seeds credits it with very good resistance to mould and pests as well as tolerance of fluctuations in water supply. The breeder gives no information on the height outdoors. A sunny spot with free-draining soil nevertheless remains the best basis. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Space
According to World of Seeds, the flavour and aroma of Space are strongly reminiscent of Afghan hashish, accompanied by subtle woody notes. The manufacturer describes the scent as intensely hashy and the flavour as spicy and refined-woody; it also recommends the strain for the vaporiser. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as very strong, cerebral and long-lasting, i.e. intense and mentally stimulating – even though it gives the genetics as 75% Indica. It puts the THC content at 20% and does not give a CBD value. If you have little experience with potent strains, you should dose carefully. How intense the effect is in an individual case depends on dose and personal tolerance.
