Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Super Lemon Haze
According to the strain description, Super Lemon Haze is one of the best-known Sativas worldwide. It goes back to Lemon Skunk × Super Silver Haze and is given as 70% Sativa and 30% Indica. Numerous international awards are cited, including two first places at the High Times Cannabis Cup (HTCC) in 2008 and 2009 as well as placings at the IC420 Growers Cup 2010, the Seattle Medical Cup 2012 and ExpoGrow Irún 2013. The manufacturer gives the values as 19.33% THC, 0.21% CBD and 1.15% CBN. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. You will find both parent lines in our range: Super Silver Haze by Green House Seeds and Lemon Skunk by Royal Queen Seeds.
Who Is Super Lemon Haze For?
Super Lemon Haze is a tall-growing, very high-yielding Sativa hybrid for experienced growers. It suits:
- Experienced growers with sufficient space and room height
- Indoor growers who work with ScrOG or LST
- Outdoor and greenhouse gardeners who can harvest in mid-October
- Lovers of intense lemon aromas with a Haze undertone
- Consumers looking for an energetic daytime effect for creative activities
It is less suitable for a first grow: the very high yield potential demands space, supports and, according to the strain description, a medium to high level of care. You can find more proven strains under Classics and Landraces.
Growing Super Lemon Haze: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Super Lemon Haze flowers for 10 weeks; the strain description states up to 800 g/m². The plant grows tall and vigorous, with long, load-bearing branches and strong side shoots, and needs support. ScrOG and LST are named as methods with which the height can be limited and the light distributed evenly. A height in centimetres is missing. The level of care is given as medium to high, and sufficient space and structure are required. A very high yield needs to be carried, ventilated and fed – which is why we rate the strain as one for experienced growers. The basics on training and climate are in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors and in the greenhouse, Super Lemon Haze is ready for harvest in mid-October in the northern hemisphere. The strain description states up to 1,200 g per plant and names equatorial, tropical, subtropical and temperate as suitable climate zones. The tall plants with their long branches need a lot of space and sturdy supports. You can find more strains for outdoors under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Super Lemon Haze
According to the strain description, the scent of Super Lemon Haze is intensely lemony and sweet-and-sour with a Haze undertone. For the flavour, lemon peel and spicy sweetness are cited – fruity, refreshing and very aromatic. The manufacturer does not list individual terpenes, but it does give cannabinoid values: 19.33% THC, 0.21% CBD and 1.15% CBN. It describes the effect as fast, powerful, energetic and balanced – it acts on the head as well as the body and lasts a long time. The strain is recommended for daytime use and for creative activities. Even with an invigorating strain, the same applies: how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
