Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Super OG Kush
Kannabia presents Super OG Kush as a legendary strain originating from California that owes its reputation to resin-dripping flowers, glistening crystals and surprisingly high THC values. The breeder gives the genetics as Black Domina × Lemon Thai × Hindu Kush – a hybrid with Indica dominance for which it states no percentages. According to Kannabia, the Afghan share ensures a noticeably shorter flowering time and robust, pest-resistant flowers. The manufacturer does not give a quantified THC or CBD content. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. You will find a Hindu Kush with us, for example, as Hindu Kush by Sensi Seeds.
Who Is Super OG Kush For?
We rate Super OG Kush as a strain for experienced growers. It suits:
- Experienced growers who work with pruning and SCROG
- Yield-focused indoor growers – the manufacturer states 600 g/m²
- Outdoor gardeners with room for plants around 200 cm tall
- Lovers of fruity aromas with a spicy touch
- Consumers who appreciate a very relaxing but creative effect
We do not recommend Super OG Kush for a first grow of your own; the strain, which is considered tall-growing, is also less suitable for low rooms. You can find more potent strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Super OG Kush: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Kannabia gives a flowering phase of 58 days and a yield of 600 g/m². The strain is considered tall-growing with vigorous stretch after the switch to 12/12; the manufacturer does not state a height in centimetres for the grow room. Kannabia points out that the robust flowers are an advantage if you want to get the greatest yield out with pruning and SCROG techniques. A net keeps the shoots at one level at the same time and slows the stretch. As with any resinous strain, a carbon filter against the smell makes sense. You will find the basics on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the manufacturer states a height of 200 cm, harvest in October and 800 g per plant. Kannabia leaves open whether early or late October – so plan a spot where the plants still get sun and air movement in autumn too, and support the heavy side shoots in good time. The breeder describes the flowers as robust and pest-resistant. You can find more strains for outside under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Super OG Kush
Kannabia describes the flavour of Super OG Kush as deliciously fruity, underpinned by spicy touches. The manufacturer does not state a terpene profile. According to its information, the effect is extremely relaxing without getting in the way of creativity, and occasionally also euphoric – Kannabia sees it as a strain for everyday life. The breeder attributes this to the surprisingly high THC values of the resinous, crystal-covered flowers; however, it does not state a percentage, and information on the CBD content is missing too. So we do not add an estimate. Assume a potent strain and dose with corresponding restraint. How strong the effect is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
