History and genetics of Super Skunk Feminized
Over the years, Sensi breeders crossed a large number of Afghani cultivars with both males and females of the true-breeding Skunk #1, searching for the perfect genotype. It was only the expansion of the Sensi Seed Bank gene library at the end of the 1980s – in particular, fresh Afghanica cultivars – that made the current version of this Skunk-Afghani hybrid possible. In 1990, Super Skunk in its final form was released to great acclaim, picking up the mostly-indica Cannabis Cup straight away.
