Genetics & Origin of Trop Cherry
For Trop Cherry, Original Sensible Seeds brought together two Cookies lines: Tropicanna Cookies and Cherry Cookies. The result is a slightly Indica-leaning hybrid with 60% Indica and 40% Sativa, whose THC content the breeder gives as 30%. It does not state a CBD value. According to the manufacturer, the plants form enormous, plump and round flowers in rich green with purple hues, densely covered in trichomes. The data sheet lists a height of 90 to 140 cm for indoors and 120 to 180 cm for outdoors. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod – so flowering only begins when you switch the light cycle. With Tropicana Cookies Purple by Royal Queen Seeds, you will also find a Tropicana Cookies strain from another breeder in our range.

- Lovers of sweet cherry and berry aromas

Growing Trop Cherry: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
In the tent, Trop Cherry flowers for 60 to 65 days, i.e. around eight and a half to a good nine weeks after the switch to 12/12. Original Sensible Seeds gives the height as 90 to 140 cm and the yield as around 700 g/m². With this height range, it is worth topping the plants or tying them down in good time so that all shoots get the same amount of light. The large, dense flowers need plenty of air movement and low humidity in the final weeks; heavy shoots are best supported with a net. A carbon filter makes sense for the strong fruit aroma. There is more on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outside, according to the data sheet, the strain reaches 120 to 180 cm. The manufacturer states up to 1,000 g per plant; it does not give a harvest date for open ground. Give the plants a spot in full sun that is sheltered from the wind, and support the side branches before the flowers become heavy. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Trop Cherry
Original Sensible Seeds names three terpenes for Trop Cherry: caryophyllene as the dominant one, plus limonene and pinene. Together they produce a fruity-sweet profile in which ripe cherries set the tone; according to the manufacturer, berry, citrus and candy notes and a slightly gassy undertone are added. The breeder describes the effect in two phases: first stimulating and invigorating in the head, then a deep, calm relaxation. The manufacturer gives the THC content as 30% – which makes Trop Cherry decidedly strong. So feel your way in with small amounts. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
