Genetics & Origin of TropicOzz
For TropicOzz, Perfect Tree Seeds brought together two fruit-forward lines: Tropicana Cherry and Peach Ozz. According to the breeder, the Tropicana Cherry comes from Relentless Genetics, while the Peach Ozz is a selected cut from seeds by Dying Breed Seeds. Tropicana Cherry brings notes of red fruit and citrus, and Peach Ozz is known for its peach flavour. Perfect Tree lists the result as an Indica-Sativa hybrid, without giving the proportions in per cent. TropicOzz was initially a free extra and was later added to the permanent range. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. The breeder describes the THC content as very high but states neither a figure nor a CBD value. Peach Ozz is also found in other strains from the house, such as Kush Mints x Peach Ozz; you will find a Tropicana Cherry from Barney's Farm.
Who Is TropicOzz For?
TropicOzz is aimed at everyone who likes it fruity. It suits:
- Lovers of tropical aromas of pineapple and citrus on a sweet base
- Growers who value dense, resinous flowers
- Indoor growers with enough room height for medium-sized to tall plants
- Outdoor gardeners who can harvest in October and have headroom
- Consumers looking for a balanced effect for the daytime
It is less suitable for very low grow rooms, because the plants grow medium-sized to tall. You can find more strains for indoors under feminised indoor strains.
Growing TropicOzz: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, TropicOzz is ready for harvest after 8 to 9 weeks of flowering; Perfect Tree states 9 weeks in one place and 8 to 9 in another. The plants grow medium-sized to tall and, according to the breeder, take pruning well – topping and a net help to limit the height and distribute the light evenly. Perfect Tree describes the strain as vigorous, resilient and high-yielding with strong resin production. The breeder gives the indoor yield as high; it does not state a figure in g/m², and the data sheet merely says that the yield depends on the grower's skill. The dense flowers need good air movement in the final weeks. You will find the basics on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the breeder, harvest falls in October. Here too, Perfect Tree rates the yield as high without quantifying it per plant; a plant height in centimetres is not stated either. Choose a sunny spot sheltered from the wind with enough headroom. Because the flowers become dense and resinous, a dry autumn is an advantage. You can find more strains for open ground under outdoor strains. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of TropicOzz
The flavour and smell of TropicOzz are defined by exotic fruit: Perfect Tree cites above all pineapple and citrus on a sweet background. Elsewhere, the breeder compares the aroma to sweets or tropical chewing gum. The flowers are dense and coated in a thick layer of resin. Perfect Tree does not list individual terpenes; the manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as gentle and balanced: it lifts the mood and relaxes the body at the same time, which is why the breeder also recommends it for the daytime. The THC content is given as very high, albeit without a percentage. So approach it slowly – how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
