Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Trunk Funk
Trunk Funk comes from the US breeder Archive Seedbank. The manufacturer gives the lineage as White Tahoe Cookies × Dosidos and lists the strain simply as a hybrid; it does not state an Indica-Sativa ratio in per cent. Trunk Funk is the second cross from the series of White Tahoe Cookies hybrids, which builds on the White Tahoe Cookies by @kush4breakfast. The first was called Sweeties and, according to Archive, was so well received that combining it with Dosidos was the obvious next step. The breeder speaks of two powerful parents whose interplay is said to bring out the cookie aroma particularly intensely. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod – so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched. The manufacturer does not give values for THC and CBD. From the same house, you will find, for example, Slurricane and Moon Boots in our range.
Who Is Trunk Funk For?
Trunk Funk is an aroma-focused hybrid from the Cookies family. It suits:
- Lovers of Cookies and Dosidos lines with a strong aroma
- Growers who can plan for 9 to 10 weeks of flowering
- Collectors of American breeder genetics in the small pack of 6
- Gardeners who would like to grow indoors as well as outdoors
- Growers for whom a medium to high yield is enough
If you need reliable figures on THC content, height or yield before buying, you are better served by a more thoroughly documented strain. You can find more hybrids under feminised seeds.
Growing Trunk Funk: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Archive Seedbank gives the flowering time of Trunk Funk as 9 to 10 weeks, i.e. 63 to 70 days after the switch to 12/12. The manufacturer rates the yield as medium to high without stating a figure in g/m². It does not give a plant height either – so allow for some spare room height and, if necessary, keep the plants low with topping or tying down. Because the strain is geared towards a particularly intense aroma, a powerful activated carbon filter makes sense. Good air movement keeps the flowers dry in the final weeks. You will find the basics on light, climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
The breeder also lists Trunk Funk for growing outdoors, but states neither a height nor a harvest date nor a yield per plant for it. A warm, sunny spot sheltered from persistent rain helps to bring the flowers to ripeness dry in autumn. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Trunk Funk
When it comes to aroma, the name says it all: Archive Seedbank describes intense, “funky” cookie notes that are said to turn out particularly strong through the combination of the two parents. The breeder does not get more specific – it names neither individual flavour notes nor a lab terpene profile. The manufacturer also gives no information on the type of effect or on the THC content; so we deliberately do not add any estimates. Because there is no information on potency, it makes sense to feel your way with small amounts. How intense the effect is in an individual case depends on phenotype, harvest time, dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
