Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Watermelon Zkittlez
At Pyramid Seeds, Watermelon Zkittlez is created by crossing Watermelon Zum Zum #3 and OG Eddy. The breeder gives the ratio as 50% Sativa to 50% Indica and describes the strain as a perfectly balanced hybrid. According to the manufacturer, the THC content is 25% and the CBD content below 1%. As special features, Pyramid Seeds names the high terpene content and the suitability for extracts: the dense buds carry an impressive layer of resin, which makes them interesting for rosin and other extracts. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. Another breeder also offers a strain of the same name: you will also find Watermelon Zkittlez by Barney's Farm in our range, along with White Widow from Pyramid Seeds.
Who Is Watermelon Zkittlez For?
Watermelon Zkittlez combines fruit aroma with a short flowering time. It suits:
- Terpene lovers looking for a sweet watermelon aroma
- Extract fans who process resinous flowers into rosin
- Indoor growers who would like to harvest after about 60 days of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners who want to harvest as early as September
- Consumers who appreciate a cheerful, creative effect
It is less suitable for occasional consumers looking for a mild strain – 25% THC is strong. You can find more potent strains under seeds with high THC content.
Growing Watermelon Zkittlez: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
For indoor growing, Pyramid Seeds states a flowering time of about 60 days, i.e. around eight and a half weeks. The breeder gives the yield as more than 400 g/m² under a 600-watt lamp. It gives no information on growth height or specific training methods. As the strain forms dense buds with plenty of resin, good air movement in the canopy and controlled humidity in the final weeks of flowering make sense. The powerful fruit aroma can be kept in check with a carbon filter. If you want to process the flowers into extracts, pay particular attention to the ripeness of the trichomes at harvest. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Watermelon Zkittlez is ready for harvest in September in Europe; for Latin America, Pyramid Seeds names March. The breeder gives the yield as 750 to 1,000 g per plant. Experience shows that such quantities require plenty of sun, space and a large root zone. It does not state a growth height. Supports for heavy side shoots and an airy spot help to bring the dense flowers safely to ripeness. You can find more strains for outdoors under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Watermelon Zkittlez
According to Pyramid Seeds, the scent of Watermelon Zkittlez is fruity and sweet with dominant watermelon notes; the breeder compares the flavour to a fruit smoothie – intense, sweet and juicy. It highlights the high terpene content but names neither individual terpenes nor a lab terpene profile. The manufacturer describes the effect as cheerful, uplifting and at the same time relaxing: a clear, motivating Sativa energy combined with gentle physical relaxation. The data sheet adds "euphoric, creative, physically loosening"; the strain is recommended for creative sessions and social activities. With 25% THC and less than 1% CBD, it is very potent. So take it slowly: how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
