Genetics & Origin of White Serpent
For White Serpent, Elev8 Seeds crossed its Breeder's Cut of Forbidden Fruit with White Truffle. The breeder calls Forbidden Fruit by far the loudest purple strain it has ever come across: sweet, rotten fruit terpenes, dark purple flowers and a yield that is surprisingly good for a purple strain. According to Elev8 Seeds, it is unknown who bred White Truffle; it is generally considered a special phenotype of Gorilla Butter. It has a reputation for being exceptionally resinous, yet at the same time it grows vigorously and delivers good yields. Elev8 Seeds chose it to bring resin coverage, yield and vitality into the cross. The breeder lists the result as a hybrid without stating an Indica or Sativa percentage. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. You will find a Forbidden Fruit from a different breeding programme in our range with Forbidden Fruit by Royal Queen Seeds.
Who Is White Serpent For?
White Serpent combines purple looks with dense resin coverage. It suits:
- Lovers of purple flowers and loud fruit terpenes
- Growers for whom heavy resin production is important
- Indoor gardeners who plan for 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Fans of US genetics from the Elev8 Seeds catalogue
- Consumers looking for a physically relaxing strain
If you need firm figures on height, yield and THC content before buying, you will not get them from the breeder – the strain is less suitable in that case. You can find other potent strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing White Serpent: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Elev8 Seeds gives the flowering time of White Serpent as 8 to 9 weeks; as a photoperiod strain it only flowers after the switch to 12/12. The breeder rates the yield as high but does not state a figure in g/m², and it gives no information on plant height either. The parents provide some pointers: the manufacturer describes White Truffle as vigorous and high-yielding, Forbidden Fruit as surprisingly productive for a purple strain. So allow a little headroom for the stretch and ensure good air movement around the resinous flowers. Because of the loud terpenes, a powerful carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
In the shop, White Serpent is rated for indoors and outdoors. For open ground, however, Elev8 Seeds states neither a plant height nor a harvest date or a yield per plant. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot and judge ripeness by the trichomes. The deep purple colouring that the breeder highlights shows towards the end of flowering. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of White Serpent
With White Serpent, the terpenes take centre stage: Elev8 Seeds speaks of “loud” terpenes and a deep purple colouring at the close of flowering. The breeder assigns the individual notes to the parents – sweet, rotten fruit for Forbidden Fruit, diesel and apricot for White Truffle. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile, nor does it comment on the effect; it is considered physically relaxing. Elev8 Seeds does not give a THC value either. In the shop, White Serpent is placed in the class above 19%, which should be understood only as an approximation. So start with small amounts and feel your way. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
