Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Zilk
Zilk comes from the US breeder LIT Farms and combines Zoap with Sugar Tab into modern US genetics. The cross is described as a hybrid with an aroma of creamy detergent, sweet fruit and a distinct gas note, which also forms a great deal of resin. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. The THC content is described as high; no percentage is available, nor is a CBD value or an Indica/Sativa ratio. We deliberately do not add any estimates of our own at this point. If you are looking for further crosses from this breeder, you will find, for example, Rainbow Sugar, also by LIT Farms, in our range.
Who Is Zilk For?
Zilk is aimed at aroma fans and extract lovers. It suits:
- Lovers of sweet, gassy strains with a creamy note
- Hash and rosin makers looking for a very resinous strain
- Growers who plan for 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Collectors of current US genetics from LIT Farms
- Consumers looking for a relaxing strain for the evening
If you need reliable figures on yield, height or THC before buying, you are less well served by Zilk, because nothing is stated on these. You can find more strains with exclusively female plants under feminised seeds.
Growing Zilk: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
The flowering time of Zilk is given as around 8 to 9 weeks, counted from the switch to 12/12. No further growing data is available: neither a plant height nor a yield in g/m² is stated. So watch the stretch in the first weeks of flowering and leave enough distance to the lamp. The heavy resin production is highlighted, which makes Zilk a strain for rosin and extracts. Because the aroma is described as loud, a carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics on climate and air extraction in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Zilk is recommended for growing indoors and outdoors alike. However, a harvest date for open ground, a height or a yield per plant are not stated. The only guide that remains is the flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot and keep the resinous flowers as dry as possible towards the end. You can find more strains for outdoors under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Zilk
In the scent of Zilk, sweetness, citrus and a creamy gas are described, and in the flavour fruity and sweet, gassy notes that are considered complex and long-lasting. The terpene profile is characterised as lemony, chemical and sweet; individual terpenes or lab values are not stated. The effect is described as strongly relaxing, slightly cerebral and euphoric – creative breaks, quiet moments and the evening are named as fitting occasions. The THC content is considered high; no figure is available. So approach it cautiously the first time. How intensely Zilk acts depends on dose and personal tolerance.
