Genetics & Origin of Zkittlez
Original Sensible Seeds presents Zkittlez as American genetics in feminised form. According to the breeder, it was created from an Afghan Kush Indica crossed with a hybrid of Grandaddy Purple × Grapefruit. The result is Indica-dominant; the data sheet states 60% Indica and 40% Sativa as well as 22% THC. The manufacturer does not give a CBD value. It describes the flowers as plump and green with a hint of purple and strikingly strong resin production. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched. If you would like to grow one of the parent lines individually, you will find Granddaddy Purple by Royal Queen Seeds in our range; more American lines can be found under US Genetics.

Growing Zkittlez: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to Original Sensible Seeds, Zkittlez needs 60 to 65 days of flowering after the switch to 12/12. The breeder recommends the strain for Scrog set-ups, in which the shoots are spread out under a net. It rates the yield as medium to high and states about 600 g/m² on average. The manufacturer gives no information on height. According to its description, the plump flowers glisten with resin and show a hint of purple. With dense, resinous flowers, good air movement in the final weeks of flowering pays off, and the fruity aroma makes an activated carbon filter sensible. You will find the basics on Scrog and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For growing outdoors, Original Sensible Seeds states 700 g per plant on average. Information on height, harvest month and climate is missing from the manufacturer's text. Choose a sunny, sheltered location and support side shoots with heavy flowers in good time. You can find more strains for the garden under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Zkittlez
The name gives away the direction: Original Sensible Seeds describes the flavour as tropical, juicy fruit with a mix of sweet and sour – inspired by the colourful confectionery from which the strain takes its name. The breeder compares the aroma of the ripe flowers to a fine, aged wine made from berries and grapes. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as strong and well balanced, relaxing and at the same time cerebral and inspiring; it recommends the strain for rounding off the day. The Indica-dominant genetics fit with this. With 22% THC, Zkittlez is strong, and inexperienced consumers are better off dosing carefully. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
