Afghan Kush Regular 10 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Afghan Kush

White Label lists Afghan Kush as a pure Kush landrace from the Hindu Kush – an original strain whose genetics, according to the strain description, were selected over centuries in the northern Hindu Kush. The breeder gives the ratio as 90% Indica and 10% Sativa. The appearance is correspondingly classic: compact growth, broad, dark green leaves and massive, blunt-shaped flowers with dense layers of resin. The manufacturer associates the strain with hashish making, from black Afghani to northern Indian charas. It does not state a THC value, and the CBD content is given as low. The seeds are regular and photoperiod, so they produce male and female plants – a basis for selection, mother plants and your own crosses. If you would like to compare another regular Kush line, you will find Hindu Kush Regular by Sensi Seeds in our range.

Who Is Afghan Kush For?

Afghan Kush is an original, fast-flowering Indica. It suits:

• Lovers of classic Indica genetics and old landraces
• Hash and extract enthusiasts looking for very resinous flowers
• Growers who grow in a Sea of Green
• Selectors looking for a mother plant that clones well
• Consumers who prefer a heavy, long-lasting body stone

It is less suitable for anyone who wants a stimulating daytime strain or exclusively female plants without selection. Anyone who needs fixed figures for THC and yield will not find them either – the manufacturer does not state any. You can find more original lines under Classics and Landraces.

Growing Afghan Kush: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

White Label gives the flowering time as 40 to 55 days. The plants stay compact and show a moderate but distinct growth spurt at the start of flowering; according to the breeder, Afghan Kush grows particularly vigorously when sown directly from seed. It describes the yield as high, without stating a figure in g/m². The strain is recommended for Sea of Green and for keeping mother plants, because it clones well. With regular seeds, it is best to germinate more seeds than the number of plants you want to keep and determine the sex in pre-flowering; you remove male plants unless pollination is planned. The dense, resinous flowers benefit from good air movement. You will find the basics in the Growpedia.

Outdoor Growing

Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Afghan Kush is harvested from late September to early October in temperate climate zones. The breeder calls it a robust, original strain that is very well adapted to a continental climate, and describes the yield as high; there is no figure per plant and no height. A sunny, sheltered spot supports the early ripening. You can find more strains for outdoors under regular outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Afghan Kush

According to the manufacturer, the scent of Afghan Kush is earthy and spicy with a classic hashy note. The flavour is described as full, spicy and slightly sweet – like fresh hashish from the highlands. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. White Label describes the effect as a typical Indica stone: physically deeply relaxing, heavy and long-lasting. The breeder expressly does not give a THC value, and the CBD content is low; we therefore do not add an estimate. According to White Label, the blunt, extremely resinous flowers also make the strain interesting for extract lovers. As regular seeds come with a certain range of variation, individual plants can differ in aroma and strength. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, harvest time, dose and individual tolerance.
