Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Alien OG
The genetics of Alien OG, also known as Alien OG Kush, come from the USA, which Royal Queen Seeds describes as the home of the true OG lines. The first parent is Alien Kush, a Californian cross of LVPK and Alien Dawg, to which the breeder attributes earthy, woody and floral aromas and a cerebral high. The second parent, Tahoe OG, is, according to the manufacturer, a distinct phenotype of the original OG Kush, which is prized for its fast-acting, strong effect. This resulted in a balanced hybrid with 50% Indica and 50% Sativa, up to 25% THC and a low CBD content. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod; flowering therefore only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. For comparison, you will also find OG Kush by Royal Queen Seeds in our range.

Growing Alien OG: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to Royal Queen Seeds, Alien OG grows 80 to 120 cm tall and is ready for harvest after 8 to 10 weeks of flowering. The data sheet states 450 to 500 g/m². The flowers grow in classic OG style: bright green, with thick calyxes, orange hairs and a dense layer of trichomes. Because they are so compact and resinous, good air movement in the room is worthwhile in the final weeks. A carbon filter keeps the strong smell of pine and gas in check. The manufacturer gives no details on specific training methods. You will find the basics on climate, light and feeding in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Alien OG grows somewhat taller; the breeder gives 140 to 180 cm. Harvest falls in early October, and according to the data sheet the yield is 450 to 500 g per plant. Royal Queen Seeds assigns the strain to the “short summers” climate profile – so it is also intended for locations where the season ends early. A sunny spot sheltered from the wind helps the dense flowers to ripen dry. You can find more outdoor strains under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Alien OG
After drying and curing, Alien OG smells of classic OG: Royal Queen Seeds lists fresh pine, damp earth and lively citrus fruit, plus a gassy note. In terms of flavour, according to the manufacturer, pine and earth are to the fore on the inhale, followed by a gentle citrus note on the exhale. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. The breeder describes the effect as a euphoric, cerebral high that is gradually joined by a physical heaviness; the data sheet lists the keywords calming, physically relaxing and uplifting. With up to 25% THC, Alien OG is one of the strong strains, and according to the manufacturer the high sets in shortly after inhaling. So work your way up with small amounts – how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
