Genetics & Origin of Alien OG
Alien OG is a cross of Alien Kush and Tahoe OG Kush. Alien Kush, a potent Afghani line from Obsol33te, served as the male parent, Tahoe OG as the mother. The Cali Connection describes the result as an F1 hybrid with classic OG character that flowers considerably faster than classic OG strains – the breeder attributes the accelerated flowering and the Afghani influence to Alien Kush, the punch and spice to Tahoe OG. It gives the type merely as an Indica/Sativa hybrid, without stating percentages; a THC or CBD value is likewise missing from the strain description. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. From the same breeder you will find SFV OG Kush in our range, and Royal Queen Seeds offers an Alien OG of its own.

Growing Alien OG: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
The Cali Connection gives the flowering time as 58 to 65 days; according to the breeder, individual plants are ready for harvest after as little as 58 days. For an OG that is short, by its account. The yield is described as medium – the manufacturer does not give a figure in g/m², nor a height. It describes the growth structure as classic for an OG. If need be, you can support shoots that are getting heavy with stakes or a net. Because the aroma is very strong, a good carbon filter is part of the setup. Check ripeness by the trichomes instead of relying on the calendar alone. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
According to The Cali Connection, growing outdoors is possible, but indoor growing is recommended because conditions can be controlled best there. For outdoors, the breeder gives no information on harvest time, height or yield per plant. If you nevertheless try it in the garden, choose a sunny, sheltered spot and keep an eye on ripeness yourself. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Alien OG
When it comes to aroma, Alien OG goes its own way. The scent is citrus-fresh with notes of Nag Champa, a spicy incense, and hairspray; for the flavour, The Cali Connection describes lemon cleaner, Kush and spicy depth. The breeder calls the profile extremely strong in character. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as a strong, OG-typical high that relaxes and at the same time is mentally demanding, and recommends the strain to experienced users and fans of an intense OG effect. The strain description does not contain a THC value; so we do not add a figure. Assume a strong strain and start with a small amount. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
