Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto Biscotti
Auto Biscotti – listed by the breeder under the name Biscotti Auto – goes back to two Californian strains: Gelato #25 and Florida OG. Original Sensible Seeds crossed these lines with XL Auto and thus created an autoflowering, feminised strain that goes into flower independently of the light cycle. The manufacturer classes it as predominantly Indica without stating percentages, and gives the THC content as 25%; it does not state a CBD value. The plants grow medium-sized and form dense flowers surrounded by deep green and purple foliage. The breeder also has a Gelato in its catalogue as a strain in its own right: Gelato by Original Sensible Seeds.
Who Is Auto Biscotti For?
Auto Biscotti combines a short cycle with a powerful Indica effect and a sweet aroma. It suits:
- Growers who want to harvest within around ten weeks from seed
- Indoor gardeners who plan for a plant height of 60 to 120 cm and 500 to 600 g/m²
- Balcony and garden growers looking for a medium-sized autoflower
- Fans of sweet biscuit and honey aromas with a diesel background
- Consumers who appreciate a calming, Indica-leaning effect
If you are looking for a light strain with a low THC content, a stated 25% is less of a fit. You can find comparably strong autoflowers under autoflowering strains with high THC content.
Growing Auto Biscotti: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Original Sensible Seeds states that Auto Biscotti is ready for harvest within 10 weeks from seed. The manufacturer does not clearly state a separate flowering time, which is why only the overall cycle is given here. The plants reach 60 to 120 cm, and according to the manufacturer the yield is 500 to 600 g/m². You do not need to switch the light cycle. Because the flowers become very dense, good air movement pays off, and a carbon filter helps against the sweet, strong smell. Repotting costs an autoflower time that it cannot make up – so sow straight into the final pot. More basics are in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For growing outdoors, the manufacturer likewise states a height of 60 to 120 cm and more than 150 g per plant. As suitable climate it lists cool, temperate and hot regions. There is no fixed harvest month with an autoflower: what matters is the sowing date, from which you count around ten weeks. A spot in full sun in a bed or in a large pot on the balcony is the best starting point. You can find more strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Auto Biscotti
In terms of flavour, according to the manufacturer, Auto Biscotti is reminiscent of syrupy honey biscuit, with a diesel note in the background. Original Sensible Seeds attributes this to the terpenes: caryophyllene is dominant, joined by limonene and myrcene. The breeder describes the effect as typical of a powerful Indica – it is said to calm the head and put the body into a quiet, peaceful state. At the same time, it speaks of feeling refreshed and sociable afterwards; how that feels in an individual case depends heavily on the amount. The THC content is given as 25% and is therefore high; the manufacturer does not state a CBD value. The intensity of the effect depends on dose and personal tolerance.
