Genetics & Origin of Auto Dosidos
Auto Dosidos is the autoflowering version of Do Si Dos, which Kannabia also lists as a feminised strain. According to the breeder, the original strain Dosidos emerged from Face Off OG and Girl Scout Cookies; for the auto version it was combined with BF Super Auto #1 by Barney's Farm. According to Kannabia, the super-sweet citrus scent and the calming potency come from the Dosidos side, and the breeder calls the auto component particularly reliable. The ratio is given as 65% Indica and 35% Sativa, the THC content as 20% – somewhat higher than in the house's feminised Dosidos – and the CBD content as below 0.5%. The seeds are feminised and autoflowering. You will find one of the ancestors mentioned in our range in Girl Scout Cookies by Barney's Farm.
Who Is Auto Dosidos For?
Auto Dosidos is an autoflower that lends itself well to learning the principle. It suits:
- Beginners who want to understand how autoflowering plants work
- Indoor growers who grow in a Sea of Green under 18 hours of light
- Growers who want to complete a full cycle in 75 days
- Lovers of sweet citrus and dessert aromas with an earthy note
- Consumers looking for a relaxing, Indica-leaning effect
If you are looking for a stimulating daytime high, a Sativa-leaning strain is the better choice; it is likewise less suitable for large outdoor plants. You can find more uncomplicated autoflowers under autoflowering seeds for beginners.
Growing Auto Dosidos: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
For Auto Dosidos, Kannabia recommends indoor growing in a Sea of Green under 18 hours of light. The complete cycle from seed to harvest takes 75 days; that is the total duration, not the flowering time. The plants grow to about one metre and, according to the manufacturer, yield 600 g/m². Short internodal spacing, pointed leaves and round, compact flowers full of trichomes are typical. In the breeder's view, not much advice is needed because the auto component is said to be very reliable. With flowers this dense, still make sure there is good air movement, and it is best to put the seedlings straight into their final pot. The Growpedia tips for beginners offer a way in.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, Kannabia states 200 g per plant at a height of up to one and a half metres under Mediterranean sun and good conditions. For a good harvest, however, the breeder expressly recommends the indoor option, and in the shop too the strain is rated as an indoor strain. Outdoors it therefore needs a warm spot in full sun. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Dosidos
Kannabia compares the flavour of Auto Dosidos to lemon meringue pie: sweet and citrusy, plus an earthy roughness. The data sheet briefly says “lemony, earthy”. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as relaxing, satisfying and pleasant; it is said to be noticeable both mentally and physically, with the relaxing side clearly predominating. That fits the Indica share of 65%. The THC content is given as 20%, which according to Kannabia puts it slightly above that of the feminised Dosidos; the CBD content stays below 0.5%. How strong the effect turns out in each case depends on dose and personal tolerance.
