Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto OG Kush
OG Kush is a popular strain whose origin has still not been clarified. White Label writes openly that the exact lineage is unknown; most experts suspect a cross of Lemon Thai, Chemdawg and a Pakistani Kush. There are also several interpretations of the name – "Ocean Grown", "Original Grower" or the popular "Original Gangster". The automatic version is 75% Indica and 25% Sativa; the manufacturer does not say which autoflower line was crossed in. It does not quantify a THC value either, speaking only of relatively high levels; we place the strain in the 11 to 19% class. The seeds are feminised and flower independently of the light cycle. You will also find OG Kush by White Label without the Automatic suffix in our range.
Who Is Auto OG Kush For?
Auto OG Kush brings Kush character into a handy format. It suits:
- Beginners who, according to the manufacturer, can expect uncomplicated cultivation
- Growers with little space who prefer compact, bushy plants
- Outdoor gardeners in temperate or continental climates
- Fans of lemony Kush aromas with notes of petrol and pepper
- Consumers looking for a body-focused, calming effect
It is less suitable if things need to go particularly quickly – the manufacturer itself calls the flowering time relatively long for an automatic. More uncomplicated strains are listed under autoflowering seeds for beginners.
Growing Auto OG Kush: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
White Label gives the flowering time as 70 to 80 days and admits that this is relatively long for an automatic; the manufacturer does not state a total duration from seed to harvest, which is correspondingly longer because of the preceding vegetative phase. Under artificial light, 400 to 450 g/m² are possible. The plants grow compact, bushy and heavily branched with many fan leaves; depending on whether they are grown indoors or outdoors in soil, the height is between 80 and 180 cm. According to the manufacturer, the strain needs a little extra care for the full yield. An activated carbon filter helps against the smell, which increases as the plants ripen. You will find the basics in the Growpedia for beginners.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, White Label states typical harvests of around 50 to 170 g per plant. The strain copes with temperate or continental climates and can be grown outdoors in a normal, warm summer. Because the plants rarely grow very tall, they remain inconspicuous in the garden – the strong smell of ripe flowers, however, does not. The manufacturer does not give a harvest month; with an autoflower it depends on the time of sowing. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto OG Kush
According to White Label, two sides meet in the scent: spicy, lemony notes, which the manufacturer attributes to the Sativa genetics, and an aroma of earth and musk from the Indica side. The plants already smell citrusy during the vegetative phase. The flavour is similarly lemony, complemented by petrol and pepper. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as typically Indica: a calming stone that makes the body pleasantly heavy, introduced by an initial euphoria. The flowers are large, heavy and glisten with resin. White Label does not quantify a THC value but speaks of relatively high levels. How strong the effect is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
