Auto Purple Skunk 3 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Auto Purple Skunk

Auto Purple Skunk – called Purple Skunk Automatic by the manufacturer – is one of the strains from Sensi Seeds Research. As part of the Sensi Seeds Research 2021 project, it was developed from three parent lines: Hindu Kush Auto, Shiva Skunk and Skunk #1. Sensi Seeds gives 75% Indica and 25% Sativa and attributes the skunky aroma and the classic Indica stone to this lineage. The buds often turn a striking purple, especially in cooler climate zones. The manufacturer points to phenotypic variation: individual plants can look markedly different from others. The seeds are feminised and autoflowering, so flowering sets in without the light cycle being switched. Sensi Seeds does not state a THC or CBD value in the strain description. The shop lists a Skunk #1 as a line from Barney's Farm; Auto Early Skunk also comes from the Sensi catalogue.

Who Is Auto Purple Skunk For?

Auto Purple Skunk is a compact autoflower with classic Skunk character. It suits:

• Beginners looking for an autoflowering, feminised strain
• Growers with little space or a wish for inconspicuous plants
• Gardeners who like to experiment and find different phenotypes exciting
• Outdoor growers in cooler regions
• Consumers who appreciate a relaxing effect without couch-lock

It is less suitable if you expect a completely uniform crop, because the manufacturer announces variation. You can find more uncomplicated autoflowers under autoflowering seeds for beginners.

Growing Auto Purple Skunk: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

Sensi Seeds speaks of an average flowering time: indoors, the plants are ready for harvest after about 8 weeks of flowering. The manufacturer does not put a figure on the entire life cycle from seed to harvest; in the shop it is rated, as an approximation, at 9 to 11 weeks. The plants stay compact, form thick central colas and grow conical to pyramid-shaped with a rounded tip. Despite the small size, Sensi Seeds states large yields, though without a figure in g/m². The aroma becomes stronger towards harvest – plan for a carbon filter in good time. Because the phenotypes vary, individual plants can turn out differently from their neighbours. You will find beginner knowledge in the Growpedia's tips for beginners.

Outdoor Growing

Outdoors too, according to the manufacturer, the strain delivers large yields; Sensi Seeds does not state a figure per plant or a harvest date. The breeder gives a cool to cold climate as the climate zone, and it is precisely in cooler locations that the purple flower colours appear particularly often. Thanks to its compact growth, it also fits locations with little space. A sunny spot nevertheless remains important. You can find more strains under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Purple Skunk

According to Sensi Seeds, the plants give off a skunky, earthy and damp Indica scent with a hint of sweetness and exotic sandalwood. The flavour resembles the smell: earthy with skunky sweetness, sometimes with spicy notes. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. According to its description, the effect is a typical Indica stone – consumers describe it as relaxing and pleasant, without the couch-lock that some find unpleasant. Elsewhere, the strain description calls the high gentle. Sensi Seeds does not give a THC value, so we do not put a figure on the potency. How strong the effect is in an individual case depends on phenotype, dose and individual tolerance.
