Genetics & Origin of Auto Royal Haze
Classic Haze strains are known for their fresh aroma and their invigorating high, but usually come with long flowering times and demanding cultivation. Auto Royal Haze, also called Royal Haze Automatic by the breeder, is meant to solve exactly that: Royal Queen Seeds crossed Amnesia Haze and Skunk with a stable Ruderalis line. The result is a Sativa-dominant, feminised autoflower that flowers independently of the light cycle and is ready for harvest 10 to 12 weeks from seed. The manufacturer gives the THC content as about 15%. According to Royal Queen Seeds, flavour and effect are in no way inferior to classic Hazes; the breeder also describes the strain as resistant to mould and pests. If you are looking for a photoperiod Amnesia Haze, you will find, for example, Amnesia Haze by Nirvana in our range.
Who Is Auto Royal Haze For?
Auto Royal Haze brings Haze character into a small format. It suits:
- Beginners looking for an uncomplicated, robust autoflower
- Haze fans who do not want to wait months for the harvest
- Growers with small tents or a balcony
- Outdoor gardeners who need inconspicuous, compact plants
- Consumers who appreciate a clear, creative high for the daytime
If you are looking for maximum yields or a heavy, body-focused evening strain, you are better served by different genetics. You can find more autoflowering Sativas under autoflowering Sativa strains.
Growing Auto Royal Haze: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Auto Royal Haze needs 10 to 12 weeks from seed to harvest; Royal Queen Seeds does not state a separate flowering time. The data sheet gives the height as 65 to 85 cm, while elsewhere Royal Queen Seeds speaks more generally of 60 to 100 cm. The manufacturer gives the yield as 300 to 350 g/m². The light cycle does not need to be switched, and thanks to its small size the strain also fits into small tents. Royal Queen Seeds describes the care as uncomplicated and also suitable for beginners. Because automatics have little time to make up for setbacks, a calm start without repotting stress is worthwhile. The most important basics are in the tips for beginners.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the data sheet, Auto Royal Haze grows 120 to 150 cm tall and is ready for harvest about 10 to 12 weeks after germination. The manufacturer states 130 to 180 g per plant. It recommends the strain for the balcony and for inconspicuous spots outdoors and describes it as resistant to mould and pests. A spot in full sun brings the best results. The automatic seeds outdoor category offers more choice for balcony and garden. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Royal Haze
According to Royal Queen Seeds, Auto Royal Haze smells fresh, lemony and spicy. The manufacturer describes the flavour as classic Haze with fruity sharpness and herbal notes – in its words not a typical “auto” flavour but fully fledged Haze enjoyment. It does not give a lab terpene profile. The effect is described as cerebral, euphoric and mentally stimulating: an energetic, clear and creative high with a fresh citrus note which, according to the breeder, is suitable for the daytime and for sociable moments. Royal Queen Seeds gives the THC content as about 15%. If you are not yet familiar with Haze strains, it is best to feel your way in with a small amount: the strength of the high depends on dose and individual tolerance.
