Genetics & Origin of Auto Watermelon Zkittlez
Auto Watermelon Zkittlez is the autoflowering version of Watermelon Zkittlez by Barney's Farm. The breeder crossed the photoperiod line with its BF Super Auto #1, so that the plants go into flower independently of the light cycle. Barney's Farm gives the ratio as 60% Indica and 40% Sativa and the THC content as 26%; the manufacturer does not state a CBD value. It describes the strain as a plant laden with trichomes that largely grows by itself and is easy to trim. In the data sheet it rates the growing difficulty at level 2 out of 5. The seeds are feminised. If you would rather grow the photoperiod original strain, you will also find Watermelon Zkittlez by Barney's Farm in our range.
Who Is Auto Watermelon Zkittlez For?
Auto Watermelon Zkittlez combines a short cycle with high potency. It suits:
- Beginners looking for an autoflower that largely grows by itself
- Experienced growers who want to push the yield potential to the limit
- Balcony and terrace growers with room for plants up to 140 cm tall
- Lovers of tropical, fruity aromas of watermelon and berries
- Growers who value flowers that are easy to trim
If you have little experience as a consumer, you should take the 26% THC seriously; it is less suitable as a mild strain. You can find more strong automatics under autoflowering strains with high THC content.
Growing Auto Watermelon Zkittlez: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
As an autoflower, Auto Watermelon Zkittlez does not need a change of light cycle. Barney's Farm states 70 days from sowing to harvest; this means the entire life cycle, not the flowering time alone. Indoors the plants grow 120 to 140 cm tall and yield up to 550 g/m² according to the data sheet – elsewhere Barney's Farm speaks of over 550 g/m² in experienced hands. The manufacturer considers the strain easy to raise. Because mistakes can hardly be made up for in the short cycle, it is worth sowing directly into the final pot and avoiding stress. The tips for beginners in the Growpedia offer a way in.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Barney's Farm, Auto Watermelon Zkittlez stays at around 140 cm and is therefore, according to the manufacturer, well suited to terrace and balcony. The data sheet states an outdoor yield of up to 600 to 700 g per plant. Plan sowing so that the 70 days fall in the warmest and brightest months, and choose a sunny, sheltered spot. You can find more strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto Watermelon Zkittlez
Barney's Farm describes the flavour of Auto Watermelon Zkittlez as fruity watermelon with sweet berries, and the aroma as tropical fruit sweets. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile.
