Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto Wedding Cake
Wedding Cake is a West Coast strain from California which, according to Original Sensible Seeds, descends from Girl Scout Cookies and Cherry Pie and is occasionally also called Birthday Cake or Pink Panties. For the auto version, the breeder crossed Wedding Cake with a Girl Scout Cookies Auto. This produced an autoflowering, predominantly Indica-influenced hybrid; the manufacturer does not state an exact percentage. According to the data sheet, the THC content is 20%, and no CBD value is given. As the dominant terpene, Original Sensible Seeds lists limonene, plus caryophyllene and myrcene. The seeds are feminised. Because the plants are finished in about 70 days, the breeder considers two or more harvests per year possible. You will also find the photoperiod Wedding Cake and Auto Girl Scout Cookies from the same breeder in our range.
Who Is Auto Wedding Cake For?
Auto Wedding Cake brings a well-known US strain into the autoflower rhythm. It suits:
- Growers who want to grow without switching the light cycle
- Gardeners who plan two or more runs per year with the short cycle
- Lovers of sweet, woody aromas with vanilla and pineapple
- Indoor growers aiming for 600 g/m²
- Consumers looking for a potent, relaxing and at the same time balanced effect
If you are looking for a light strain with a low THC content, you are less well served here at 20%. You can find more high-yielding autoflowers under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Auto Wedding Cake: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
According to Original Sensible Seeds, the entire life cycle of Auto Wedding Cake takes 65 to 70 days, i.e. a good nine to ten weeks from sowing to harvest. The breeder does not give a separate flowering time. The plants reach 60 to 120 cm. For indoor growing, the manufacturer states 600 g/m². As the strain flowers without a change of light, it needs no special lighting, in the breeder's words. Make sure it gets a stress-free start in the final pot, because pauses in growth can hardly be made up for in ten weeks. Tips on substrate, pot size and light are in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer's information, Auto Wedding Cake likewise grows 60 to 120 cm tall and produces 150 g per plant. Original Sensible Seeds lists the strain for cool, hot and temperate climates. Thanks to the short cycle, two or more harvests per year are possible according to the breeder. The data sheet notes October as the harvest month; with an autoflower with a life cycle of 65 to 70 days, however, it is above all the sowing date that decides. A sunny spot sheltered from the wind brings the best results. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Auto Wedding Cake
Original Sensible Seeds describes the flavour as sweet and woody with vanilla, pineapple and a hint of lemon. This matches the terpene profile the breeder gives: limonene dominates, accompanied by caryophyllene and myrcene. It does not state percentage values for the individual terpenes. According to the manufacturer's information, the effect is potent and relaxing, just as you would expect from heavy Indica strains, but at the same time well balanced between a physical and a cerebral effect. With 20% THC, Auto Wedding Cake is a strong autoflower. If you consume rarely, you should start low and wait for the effect: how strong it turns out depends on dose and personal tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
