Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Auto White Widow XXL
White Widow is regarded as an Amsterdam classic; with Auto White Widow XXL, Barney's Farm continues the line as an autoflowering version. The breeder describes it as an Indica-dominant cross with 70% Indica, bred from a Brazilian Sativa and a particularly resinous South Indian Indica, combined with the in-house BF Super Auto #1. The seeds are feminised and autoflowering: the plants go into flower independently of the light cycle. Compared with the feminised, photoperiod version, the auto variant stays particularly compact according to the manufacturer, but nevertheless grows vigorously and fast. Barney's Farm does not state a THC or CBD value in the strain description. If you prefer the photoperiod version, you will also find White Widow XXL from the same breeder in our range; an autoflowering variant from another breeder is Auto White Widow by White Label.
Who Is Auto White Widow XXL For?
Auto White Widow XXL brings a classic into a short cycle. It suits:
- White Widow fans looking for an autoflowering version
- Growers with limited room height who prefer compact, bushy plants
- Outdoor gardeners in cooler regions who value mould resistance
- Growers who would like to harvest 70 to 75 days after sowing
- Consumers who appreciate an uplifting, talkative effect
It is less suitable for anyone who wants to take cuttings or keep a mother plant – autoflowering strains are not intended for that. You can find more fast, high-yielding automatics under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Auto White Widow XXL: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to Barney's Farm, Auto White Widow XXL reaches 80 to 90 cm and is ripe 70 to 75 days after sowing; the light cycle does not need to be switched. The breeder states a yield of up to 500 g/m². The plant shows a classic Indica shape and becomes bushy and broad by the time it flowers. Barney's Farm describes it as very versatile and suitable for different conditions and growing techniques. During flowering, heavy, very sticky flowers with a thick layer of trichomes form. Because of the strong smell, a carbon filter makes sense, and good air movement keeps the flowers dry. You will find the basics on light and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the strain grows 100 to 120 cm tall. Barney's Farm describes it as mould-resistant and resistant to pests; according to the manufacturer it also copes well in colder climate zones, and the data sheet lists cool, hot and temperate as suitable climates. For open ground, the data sheet gives a yield of up to 1,200 g – a maximum value that requires very good conditions. You can find more strains for outdoors under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto White Widow XXL
Barney's Farm speaks of an exotic aroma profile with sharp, skunky and sweet citrus aromas, complemented by earthy, spicy pine notes. For the flavour, the data sheet lists sharp, skunky, sweet, citrus, fruity, spicy and pine. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. It gives the effect as creative, uplifting, energetic, talkative and euphoric. The exceptional resin production is striking: according to the description, the colas are so densely covered in trichomes that they appear almost white, interspersed with long, bright orange pistils. The strain description does not state a THC value; in the shop the strain is rated in the 11 to 19% class, which is to be understood only as an approximation. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
